2026-02-26 update
Ambria went through a difficult time, suffering from some mental health problems and drug addiction in her late teens. She spent some time in a mental health hospital; it’s unclear how helpful that was to her, although she seemed to take some of her techniques with her.
She has blossomed into a wonderful young woman. I’m very proud of her, and I’m grateful that we still get to talk nearly every week, even after a rocky few years in our relationship.
Original note
Ambria is my daughter. She likes anime and watches wrestling with me. Occasionally, we play video games together. We are pretty good friends, but she is strong-willed like me so we sometimes butt heads.
She does really well at school when she gets her work done, but she has other priorities right now. I have to intervene to make her do her schoolwork. This is stressful because I’m afraid having bad grades would give her mom an advantage to have some custody of her which would ultimately make her life worse.
Ambria’s mom Emily Campbell abandoned her when Ambria was 8 to live with a woman named Crystal Wombold. Ambria was left with her grandmother Reda Carpenter, who notified me of the abandonment months later.
