Connie Campbell
- Will “Discover Entertainment” care about the travel times selected in the form?
- Some way to show relevant events
- How to get help if you are sick
- names of hospitals and clinics
- emergency numbers
- What to do if someone gets hurt
- Forgot where transportation information was
- Churches
- Climate
- Give average temperatures for your travel times
- No way to get back to home page
- Add holidays to planning page
- Confusing that the departure city appears on the second page
Summary
User generally thought the site was easy to use but is missing some information important to them. User is concerned about the details of healthcare on the island. I will have to ask the client for more information in order to include this; not currently actionable aside from asking the client for more detail. User was also concerned about lack of surfacing some other critical travel info, like climate/weather information and specific holiday information since many businesses are closed on holidays. This is actionable. I can expose these in a personalized way in the trip planner when the user selects their travel dates. I can also give general climate information in the quick facts. The user also pointed out there there is no way to return to the home page! I will take action by adding a home page link to the navigation.
Tiffany Campbell
- Doesn’t understand the heading on home page
- Wants star ratings for hotels
- Restaurants and groceries under one heading: food
- Services heading for spas and non-grocery like pharmacies
- Split out tours vs. self-lead entertainment
- Concierge booking to arrange booking and transportation
- Quick facts are neat
- Add ways to get around the island
- Maybe link this to the transportation page?
- Add ways to get around the island
Summary
User thought the site is generally usable but would like to make sure we include specifics about hotels: star ratings and more granular details in particular. This is partially actionable. I don’t have much of this detail to hand, but I will mock in some star ratings to show what that would look like. This user had some trouble finding transportation information. This is actionable. I will cross-link the transportation information on the “Basic Needs” page from a new quick fact about transportation.
Ambria Campbell
- Looks like an Apple web page
- Homepage heading is confusing
- British flag emoji doesn’t show up on Ambria’s computer
- Liked the “quick facts” info
- Better spacing between facts
- Present localized date format
- Skip to correct portion of the page on click of “Find X” button
- No “Home” button
- Where is this place?
- map with a dot showing location
- Wants to know more about entertainment
- what there is to do
- events going on
- nightlife
- Wants to see amenities and locations for accommodations
- Wants to know where the airport is relative to other locations
Summary
User found a few aspects of the site confusing, including the homepage heading and the date format used in the trip planning form in the footer and on the planner page. I will take action by rewriting the homepage heading and using a date format localized to the user. The user wants to know the location of the island. This is actionable by providing a map with a location. The user would also like locations for activities. This is not currently actionable aside from asking the client for help sourcing this detail. This can replace the placeholder text currently in place.
