Submit a new Pennie application on the basis of what I’m receiving in unemployment and when that ends May be medicaid eligible based on Pennie application.

After our call, I tried applying for Medicaid via COMPASS, but I got stumped when I got to a question asking about disability in my household. I answered that someone was disabled, but was then unable to identify Tiffany as the person with that disability when asked to identify them. I was only offered myself even though I had entered her as a member of the household.

I called and waited on hold for 1.5 hours before having to disconnect. I then used their contact form to ask the question, and I have not yet (as of 2024-11-14) received a reply.

I scheduled a follow-up call with Matt on 2024-11-14 at noon. He thinks adding Tiffany to my household, I may qualify for a Pennie subsidy and may not need to apply for medicaid.

2024-11-14 Call with Matthew Domenick

Still eligible for Medicaid after updating application. Will continue applying for COMPASS

2024-11-15 call to COMPASS helpline

9:08am- spoke to Andrew. He said I could answer “no” to the question about disability since, from COMPASS’s perspective I am a household of one. Household from their perspective includes only people who are applying for benefits.

2024-11-20 call to PA DHS for info on medicaid application status

Mister Skvarla will flag my application for review and send it on to their supervisor. He said that should be reviewed by Friday and I should receive a call back. COMPASS status shows denied, but he says that is not reflected in his system.
