A little bit of both (hack nights and talks), monthly, and yes indeed pizza

- What kinds of content would you most like to see at future meetups? Talks? “Hack nights?” Some of both? Something else entirely?
Form teams and work on projects together. Maybe assign some topics at first? I found I get to know people the best when we are working towards the same goals.
- How often do you like to meet? Monthly? Weekly? (If your answer is more often than weekly, I’ll assume you’re also volunteering to help. 😜)
Weekly or longer session per month
- What makes a good meetup in general? Pizza? Not having pizza? Swag? Recruiters? Something else?
Cool projects that can be finished by a team within one session

What kinds of content would you most like to see at future meetups? Talks? “Hack nights?” Some of both? Something else entirely? I’m mostly looking for career direction, Github reviews, see if I’m on the right track with my learning. Hack nights, contributing to open source or making a quick feature to help me grow as a dev.

What makes a good meetup in general? Pizza? Not having pizza? Swag? Recruiters? Something else? Recruiters works best for me. Just trying to learn how I can best get my foot in the door.

Thanks for taking over. I’m interested in weekday morning/ early afternoon meetups or weekends. Any frequency/ all types are good!

Thanks for taking over! My answers to your questions are below:
-
Talks / knowledge sharing nights
-
Monthly is probably all I could sustain

For a purpose like this one, I think the best part of the meetup would be outcomes — feeling like I was making a difference by helping others.
That said, I love teaching, so if you’re looking for people to share knowledge, let’s talk. 🙂

Hey Devon!
And nice job self, on managing to do a shift return 😂
Again, even. Anywho… I’m glad you’ve picked this up to keep the local FCC group going. I’d love to see a combo of talks/guided project work and hacknights happen, and would be game to help on a monthly basis. I’m also down in West Seattle (practically White Center) and work from home, so the previous university area meets were a bit far for me. I’d be curious what areas folks are concentrated in, and see if hosting in those zones makes a difference.
