I bypassed registration and installed KOReader, an alternative reader software on my device.
Adding Books to KOReader
- Open Calibre on desktop
- Add book to Calibre library
- Turn on Clara
- Tap top of screen to open menu
- Tap tools icon
- Tap “Calibre”
- Tap “Connect”
- Tap “Turn on” to activate wifi
- May take some time to connect
- Connection often fails on the first attempt after activating wifi. If connection fails, repeat from step 5 until success
- When the connection is successful, the “Device” button should show up on the Calibre toolbar
- Select the book(s) to add
- Click the “Send to device” button on the Calibre toolbar
- Check the library on the device (Tap top of screen and tap on the file cabinet button) to confirm book was received
