Scot Muncaster asked me to review his estimates for different permutations of an upcoming project. He gave me a walkthrough of that project before giving me access to the spreadsheet. These are my notes from that walkthrough.
- May need to bump up internal hours for general course framework setup
- DO TESTING
- Thinks the total for internal may need to be more like 300 on the max side
- 1-to-1 conversion, as much as possible
- Can make improvements but not required
- No accessibility requirements we are aware of
- Introduction- video with next button after playback
- Gary and Tariq (scenario 2 is identical)
- Audio over full-screen image
- Text boxes over full-screen images with next/back buttons
- Video observations: watch video and rate on a spectrum your answer to a question presented as text
- Is currently drag and drop. May use slider instead.
- Video indicators: Multiple choice questions with same video as above
- Boxes are checked as video plays
- Timeline recap of events of the scenario
- Hover over dots on timeline to see an image and some text
- Margaret and Les (Annette and George is identical)
- full-screen image with text dialog
- Video interview: multiple choice branching w/ 32 videos
- ask the right questions and follow-up properly until the end
- selecting wrong may let you go a little further but will eventually cut you off
- bad answer you gave is no longer selectable
- notes pop-over- notes are jotted down as yo move through the interview
- coach feedback popovers with image and text
- tell you if responses are good or bad
- XML lays out the branches
- may be able to use interrogation screens used in POST
- takes a while to go through
- If you fail, you must try again, either now or later
- Determine charge: like video indicators
- multiple choice
- list of penal codes that may have been violated
- show correct set of notes from previous exercise
- try again until you get it right
- DA feedback: text with graphics
- Timeline: same as before
- Elena and Tomas
- Can’t do until complete the others
- Scene explores: hidden object games (4x)
- image scrolls as you move mouse to the edges
- click items you find
- incident report fills as you find items
- get DA feedback- attempt to end scenario. DA will tell you when you have enough
- click on people to get to interviews (below)
- interviews: like the previous video interview
- these don’t start over, just loop back if you ask the wrong question
- timeline
- Conclusion: same as intro
- dumped back to menu after that is done
- may add some directions about what to do at the end
