Our offer was countered by the sellers with an offer very close to their asking price. They were willing to come down 38k we were asking for. Since this isn’t a condo we were very excited about, we decided not to take that offer.
I learned the condo interest rate is 1/8% higher which amounted to about 450k condo. Not at all as bad as I had thought. I got even better news about insurance. Homeowner’s insurance for condos is many times cheaper than the homeowners insurance estimate on Zillow, which I assume to mean it is many times cheaper than homeowner’s insurance in general.
We found an awesome condo very close to our current one. It was a bit small, but it looked like it might work. We had scheduled a tour at 4pm today, but Lili called me just after to say they had already received a full-price offer waiving all contingencies and putting 50% of the purchase price down. I told her we would have to let that go since we had no way to compete.
I am preparing for an interview tonight for one of my email subscriber’s YouTube channel. I’m excited about it, but I’m also a bit worried. His current videos don’t seem to be very concerned about production value. We’ll see how it goes. He seems eager anyway and has thought about some great topics of discussion.
Ambria spent over an hour in the bathroom doing her Nair. I told her I hoped it didn’t always take that long. She said she’s just getting to grips with how it works.
The interview went really well. It was predictably low production value, and I contributed to that. It was getting dark when we started at 8:30pm, and I just used my little ring light. I looked like a weird murderer hiding in a dark room by the time we got to the end. The content was good though. I hope someone gets something out of it.
