We got the offer in on the 5025 California Ave condo today. I learned some disconcerting things like that the interest rate is probably going to be higher than I suspected because condo interest rates are apparently higher for some reason.
This lead to some further research that suggests an FHA loan might be better. I’ll need to ask Lili about it tomorrow. I may also need someone to run the math with me and see which loan works out best.
I tried a new game today that was free on the Epic Games Store called Mothergunship. It has the feel of a classic arena shooter except that it’s 1Player, a Roguelite, and you can build your own guns from parts you buy. It seems really neat. Excited to play more of it.
I watched some reviews for The Ascent and that looks really cool. It’s a sci-fi twin stick shooter with some RPG trappings. Really excited for this one when the price comes down.
I pre-ordered my Playdate console today. Got the package with the console and the case. That thing looks so cool. It’s a little curio that you can play. I’m excited to try it. That’s supposed to come this year. I may have to change my shipping address with them by that time.
Ambria wrote some letters to me and slipped them under the door addressing why she wants to shave her legs. She did a much better job with it this time around. A lot of her argument amounted to “hair is gross” and “it’s everyone’s personal decision” which I don’t find very compelling. I liked the way she handled it though.
I had a major breakthrough on automated testing for the new Design Media proposal demo system. I was able to refactor the router to break out parts that should be tested and get several tests written for one of the critical navigation guards.
