I would love a mentor session. My situation is this: I’ve owned a software company for about 8 years, but i’m not a developer. I’ve taken some boot-campy type things, General Assemb.ly, lots of self-taught online things, books, etc., but I’ve never gotten past that inflection point to where i feel i know what i’m doing. So here’s the thing — when I learned guitar, I did it by sitting down for hours a day with a Beatles songbook, and I would just hack away every day, for as many hours as there were in the day, until i “got it”. That’s how i learn everything.
And that is why i reached out to you. I’ve signed up for yet another web developer bootcamp (part time), but what i really want is a mentor who can guide me and teach me (here and there) what I need to know and do to build my own apps. I have a couple of ideas that I’ve had for quite a while, and I’d really like to finally just make them!
Incidentally, I found you by searching the web for something like “learn web development by building your own app ideas with a mentor”. (Not verbatim, but something like that.) Does this sound like you?! Looking forward to hearing from you!
