My name is Jonathon Day and I currently live in Leeds in the UK with my wife and our 3 boys.
The reason your blog and program appealed is I feel very close to being a developer but really feel I am not.
Basically I currently work for a charity as a trainee developer & technical solutions analyst. My role does involve some coding but mainly in Perl and SQL.
I have done some basic HTML/CSS and JS but never built a website or anything myself without a tutorial.
However, I am really keen to move beyond this and do better - I am currently working through a CSS course by Kyle Cook (We’d Dev Simplified) and looking to progress onto JS and react.
The reason I am asking for advice I suppose is how to best progress and potentially move into freelance work?
One of my sons (my oldest: Jespah) is autistic and I can foresee needing quite a lot of flexibility in my working life going forward to be able to support my family but also be available at odd times to support him with school and other issues. If you could provide any help or support towards this aim I would be very interested and grateful for your time.
Thank you for the ebook as well it has certainly given me some ideas 😊
