Hello Devon,
Not sure if you are still doing these sessions but thought I would throw my hat into the ring.
What I am looking for help with is clarifying my future. I know, pretty vague but I am more of a generalist in the work space.
This unfortunately also means there are too many paths I can go down and leaves me a little unfocused.My back story is I was operations manager for 9 years for a start up and law firm. I did everything inc. website, SEO, ADS and marketing.
When it came to technical details my coding skills weren’t good enough so I always had to wait for others to finish projects.I decided to join FlatIron (bootcamp) for an online web development certificate. It was a very in depth course but obviously bootcamps
only cover certain aspects. I think I still need work in a lot of areas but feel comfortable building sites for a small business etc.I finished those courses in April and I am currently trying to dig deeper in Javascript and then react/next as my preferred language.
I currently work 15 to 20 hours a week with a couple of clients so I have a little experience in that regard.
I do not have an extensive list of past people to rely on though as I have been moving quite a bit the last few years.So the reason for talking with you is that I love coding and think that doing freelance work is the right move for me.
Obviously part of that is I have a lot of other experience I can help a business with as well.It would help to discuss this with someone who has the knowledge and experience to help direct me.
