I just finished listening to the CodeNewbie podcast that you were featured on! I am currently working as a paralegal with an education background primarily in political science (BA and MA with quantitative analysis). I have been seeking to switch over to web development for a while now but just haven’t been sure how to do so.

I have been focusing on Javascript at the moment trying to learn the foundations, objects, and arrays, and have a basic knowledge of html and css. I built my first website in high school that showed all of my favorite music albums and included details about them. (I regret not having stayed with programming since then as I’d have a decade of practice by now!)

That being said, I am currently going through a Udemy course on Javascript, absorbing as much YouTube and online classes that I can, and have been looking at part-time code schools like Thinkful. I guess I’m not sure where I need to be and what I need under my belt in order to acquire my first web developer job without possibly shelling out the money for these coding schools. Would love to talk to you to formulate some ideas since you have experience here.
