My Notes

  • Why do we think the problem is that juicing our existing userbase will fix the problem?
    • 329 views in the first hour(which doesn’t quite cover the entire stream; probably slightly more than this watched in that hour)
    • ~3,700 total in our existing MailChimp audience that we invited (lu.ma reports ~4,200 invited; not clear where these came from)
      • Potentially, there are people in our Discord or following on Twitter who are not email subscribers who found out about us
      • That number is still the right one to use because the email audience is the only audience we can always reach out to on-demand. Discord and Twitter own our audiences on those platforms and can determine how and how much we can communicate with them.
    • 8.9% of our Mailchimp audience attending (8.2% of those we invited via lu.ma)
  • 1,082 views since launch
  • Text
  • Video
    • Lay out a strategy to approach YouTube
  • Blog post
    • not about EdgeDB necessarily but how we implement EdgeDB

  • Start updating web site
    • Centered around what you can do with EdgeDB, not what it is
    • Cloud is the product and should be the focus
  • Get guest blog posts
    • pay for them
