Ambria called Emily late today because we were at the store during her normal call time. Emily asked if she went grocery shopping. No, we went to Westwood Village. Emily asked where it is. South. Emily asked if she bought anything. No.
Emily said she went to get bean soup and got Red Robin. She doesn’t go much. She went to Hyde Bakery where the owner won a contest for Halloween. She got a cherry pie that was good and tart. She got an oatmeal cream pie. She had a piece of peanut butter cake. It was so rich that one bite is enough. The owner is outspoken about her political beliefs and got review bombed. Emily said she went to support her.
Ambria didn’t do much today. Yesterday in baking she made scones. Emily asked if they were dry or moist. Moist.
Ambria told her it got chilly today. Emily said it’s not where she is. She had the one evening when it was.
Emily went to the HEB store she talked about last time. She said it was a normal grocery store. She doesn’t know what the fuss is about. She ground her own peanut butter. She said it was really good. It was a courser grind. She said it wasn’t creamy or crunchy. She likes it.
She went to IKEA and didn’t get lost. She didn’t go to the showroom. She did something with a squeegee. The cafeteria was closed.
Ambria got her Halloween costume. Emily asked if it fits. Yes. Emily asked what shoes she’s wearing. Regular ones. Emily asked when that is. Next week.
Emily asked if she’s doing anything special at school. Not that Ambria knows of. They’re working on a research project in marketing right now. Emily asked what product her group is doing. It’s called Furbo. It’s a fitness tracker for competing with your family. Emily asked if she likes the class. Yes. Emily asked if it makes her think differently. Kinda. They’re just starting projects. Emily asked if everyone pulls their weight. Her partner is a friend, so they’re equal.
Emily thanked her for the homecoming pictures and asked if the shoes hurt her feet. No. Emily asked how big the heel was. 3 inches.
Ambria didn’t do much today besides shopping. No plans for tomorrow. She’s just waiting for her birthday now. Emily asked what she’s doing for her birthday. Friday she is meeting people at the arcade and going to eat. Emily asked where she’s eating and if she gets to pick. She gets to pick but she doesn’t know. Emily asked if the arcade is near where she lives. It’s 20 minutes by car. Emily asked if we have a penny arcade. Not that Ambria knows of. Emily asked if the arcade has redemption games.
Emily showed the dog. She said she would show the cat but it was being anti-social.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her and to wish her happy birthday on Monday. Emily said she would. Ambria said she should go. Emily asked if they would talk on Wednesday. Yes. Emily said she hopes she has good days at school.
