Emily asked if she rides the city bus or school bus. The city bus. They don’t have school buses. Emily asked if everyone has to drive, ride the bus, or find a way. Yes. Ambria told her they all get Orca cards. Emily asked who. Ambria isn’t sure. Emily asked if a lot of kids ride the bus. Yes. Emily asked if others catch the bus with her. No, she’s usually the only one. Emily asked about other kids at the drop-off. No.
Emily asked if she had to take tests before she was diagnosed with ADHD. She just talked to people. Emily asked how many people said she has it. She had one who was working on diagnosing her, one that did, and others who said she might have it.
They talked about her earrings and hair clips. Emily asked how she decides how to wear her hair. She decides based on the outfit. Emily asked if this was a hair-up outfit. Yes.
Emily asked if she’s had more bubble tea. She had her regular order a couple days ago. She was glad to have it again. Emily asked if she’s had any chai yet. Yes. Emily said she has enough, so to feel free to space it out. Emily asked if she used milk. She put some in but didn’t use milk only. Emily uses water for hers.
Emily said she’s having Panda Express. She said last year they only had orange chicken in a few locations, but now they have it at all of them.
Emily asked if she’s going to take her lunch or eat at school. Ambria doesn’t know because they are charging this year. They still have free lunch for kids who can’t afford it, but not for her. Emily asked if they could get whatever they wanted with the free lunch or if they were confined to a few items. You could get anything.
Emily asked if the teachers were glad to be back. No. Emily asked if her friends were. No. Emily asked when she will know if she has classes with friends. She found out today. She knows a few people in her classes but not many. Emily said she will be introduced as the star student in her French class. Ambria doesn’t think she will be in AP French since they are all the star students. Emily asked if they had it last year. Yes, but not the year before. Emily said she doesn’t like calling her a senior. Ambria said it was uneventful.
Emily asked what her name would be in French. It would be the same. Emily asked what she would pick if she could pick a French name. Ambria doesn’t know. She doesn’t know many and they sound weird.
Emily is glad she had a good first day. Emily (trails off mumbling).
Ambria said she will probably have more things to tell about school on Saturday. Emily asked what time they will talk Saturday. 6:15 also.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said Reda saw Elvis again “the other day.” This Elvis was “kinda raggedy.” His clothes looked old and he’s a “really old Elvis.” She didn’t get a rose this time. Emily said she will tell Reda that Ambria likes Elvis.
Ambria said she should go. Emily will talk to her Saturday at 6:15pm her time. She wished her a good time at school.
