Emily asked what she’s doing. She just finished her group. Emily asked how it went. It was good.
Ambria told her there was no school today and tomorrow. Emily asked what happened. Ambria told her about the strike.
Emily asked which thinking putty she’s playing with. It’s dragon scales. Emily said she wasn’t aware you could do the things Ambria is doing with it. She said she also likes popping the air bubbles too.
Emily asked what she’s doing instead of school. Ambria is doing some organizing and getting rid of stuff. Emily said it makes you feel good to do that.
Emily asked if we went to see the Broadway production of Hamilton. Ambria said it’s mostly their traveling cast. Emily said it came to Dallas, but she didn’t know about it until it was too late. Ambria said she liked it. Emily asked if she has the songs stuck in her head. Sometimes she’ll get a chorus stuck in her head. Emily said the music didn’t appeal to her. Ambria said she isn’t interested in history, but she still likes it.
Emily asked what other shows she’s seen. Ambria told her Hairspray is coming soon. Ambria said she saw High School Musical performed by her 8th grade class. Emily asked how it was. Ambria said she thought they did a good job. Emily went to plays at the high school with her mom. Emily went with her dad and Edie to see Cats. She loved it. Ambria hasn’t been to very many. She went to a Weird Al concert, and it was pretty much a show. It was at the theater where we saw Hamilton. Emily wants to see Paramore in October. Ambria doesn’t know who is coming here. She thinks Trippie Redd is coming back. Emily said she should go. Ambria would like to. Emily said maybe she will get to.
Emily asked if she got her schedule. Ambria did some “hacking” to find it. She explained how she got it. Ambria shared her schedule. Emily said second semester seems easier. Ambria thinks they are both easy. Emily said that one didn’t seem like it would have as much homework.
Ambria doesn’t mind homework. Emily asked if she’s excited about French. Yes. Emily asked her name. Ambria said it and spelled it.
Emily noticed her new nails. Ambria said she got them for school but may have to have them done again before school starts. Ambria doubts they will start on Friday. She said she would show them after she finished with her putty.
Emily said she told Reda about Ambria’s painting on the wall and said she was surprised Ambria is an artist.
Ambria showed her nails and they discussed each one. Emily asked how she picked the colors. She found them online.
Emily had some chai shipped and it should be arriving tomorrow. Emily said we should be getting a lot. She’s drinking it too. Emily suggested not using almond milk.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she would and she will tell about the school issues. She hopes there will be a solution by the time they talk Saturday.
Emily asked her outfit for the first day. She’s going to wear her black romper. Emily said maybe she could wear it Friday or Monday. Emily told her to take it easy before school starts.
