Ambria took another opportunity to call Reda while Emily was visiting her. Emily explained to Reda that what Ambria is playing with is kinda like silly putty.
Reda commented on the bracelet. Emily told Reda her friends made it. Ambria asked if Reda remembered Ambria making them. She did.
Ambria asked what they did today. Reda said something. Emily came back in the room and asked what Ambria had asked. Ambria asked again. They met Benny and Lolly for breakfast and not much else. Emily said they’d gotten a lot done yesterday. She said they had dinner.
Reda said something Ambria didn’t understand. Ambria asked what she said. She’d asked what Ambria’s shirt says. Ambria told her it says “Thrasher.” Reda asked if that’s what she is. Ambria said it’s a skating magazine.
Emily showed her some pants Reda had picked out. Ambria asked what kind they are. Emily said they are “lounge pants.”
Reda said something Ambria couldn’t hear. Ambria said, “Hmm?”

Emily said Reda had a taco for dinner. Emily asked to see Ambria’s cup and said she’s having Starbucks. Reda asked if it’s coffee. Ambria said it’s a Frappuccino. Reda said she hadn’t had one. Ambria told her she drank most of one Ambria had before.
Emily said they went to Cracker Barrel for lunch. Reda had eggs, toast, and bacon. She said the yellow is runny but the white is done. Ambria said that’s how she likes them. Emily does too. Emily remembered that Sue had made eating a game for Emily because she didn’t eat well when she was young.
Ambria said she went to get pizza for dinner. Emily asked where. She went to Tallarico’s where they have a giant slice. Emily said she bets she ate one slice. Ambria didn’t even finish one and brought it home. Emily asked if she got pepperoni and cheese. Yes.
Ambria tried to think of what to say. Reda said something about Ambria’s nails. Ambria may go tomorrow and get them done white. Reda asked if she’s going to get the French tips. No, Ambria wants all white. Emily asked if she wants any designs. No, Ambria wants plain white for summer. Emily asked if she gets her toenails done. Ambria did at the beginning of the summer but not often. Emily asked if she does them herself. Yes.
Emily asked if Ambria had tried a candy she showed on camera. No. She showed another one that was an Oreo bar. Ambria hasn’t tried that one either. Emily said she can’t tell her anything about it because it’s in another language. Ambria asked where she got it. Gatlinburg. Ambria asked when they went. Earlier. Emily hasn’t tried them either.
Ambria brought out the putty with the chunks in it and they commented on it. Ambria showed some of the things that were in it. They talked about crocheting and asked if Ambria still does it. She still knows how. She did some knitting recently but didn’t get back into it like she thought she might.
Reda said she will teach Ambria to crochet if Ambria will teach her to knit. Reda asked how she learned. Ambria doesn’t remember. Then she remembered a friend from 6th grade taught her how.
Emily showed Ambria’s cat Korra on camera. Emily said she just bit her. Emily said her hair is “real long and straight.”
Ambria looked for the pieces in her putty and Emily explained to Reda what she is doing. Reda asked if she’s wearing a ring. No. Ambria showed a butterfly in the putty on camera. They talked about it on the other side. They pointed out the various colors of flowers they saw. Emily asked what she makes with it. Ambria said she didn’t make it. She bought it. Reda asked if it’s slime. Ambria said it’s like clear slime. Emily asked if she remembers the slime she used to make. Ambria remembers. Emily said it’s still at Reda’s house. Emily said she’s afraid to open it. Emily said when she made it, it stuck to her hands and broke off in chunks. They talked about their techniques for making it and how much glue they used.
Ambria showed a frog in the putty. They talked about it.
Ambria tried to come up with something to say. She said she had ham and cheese and fruit for lunch. Emily asked what kind. Ambria told her the different kinds. Emily asked if she gets the caramel ribbon crunch Frappuccino. That’s what Ambria has. Emily said it’s her favorite. Ambria likes the chai. Emily asked if she needs more powder chai. Ambria said, “Sure.” Emily asked if she makes it with water or milk. Ambria thinks she made it with milk.
Reda asked what she did with the recipes she sent. Ambria has them in her recipe book. Reda had to ask her to repeat and Ambria did. Emily asked what Ambria’s specialty is. Banana bread. Emily asked if Reda’s had any. No. Emily said she hasn’t either. Reda asked if she’s made bread pudding. No, but she has made corn pudding.
Emily asked what she’s looking forward to in her baking and pastry course. Ambria’s excited to make donuts. Emily said that is exciting.
Reda asked if she has stamps. Ambria thinks she does. Ambria keeps meaning to write her a letter. Reda says she can’t write anymore. Emily said there were four deer there when she drove up. She said they were eating apples near the carport.
Reda asked if anyone that works where she lives could write a letter for them. She tried one time and they told her they didn’t want to. Reda said something about her computer being “tore up.” She would type it on the computer and send it. Edie told Reda she got one from her. Ambria sent her one “a bit ago.” Reda told her they had done a video call.
Emily asked her to hang on. Emily said there was a wasp nest in the mailbox. Emily said it was a “nice surprise.” She didn’t find mail, but she did find some wasps. She said she got her exercise in. Emily said these were orange or red. Emily didn’t get to measure them.
Reda asked if Ambria knows what a hornet’s nest looks like. Ambria thinks she could recognize one. Reda told her not to hit it if she saw one. Ambria said OK and asked if her mom hit it.
Emily said we have a lot of seagulls here. Ambria agreed. Reda asked if they bite. No.
Ambria said she found a ladybug in the putty. Emily asked her to show it, so she did. They spotted it.
Reda asked her not to put the stuff on her head. Reda asked if she braids it. “Not really.” Emily asked if she still can braid it. Yes.
Ambria asked what they’re doing tomorrow. Emily said they’re probably going to “take it easy again.” Emily is going to Sevierville to stay in a cabin.
Someone asked what the AC is on the wall, and Ambria told them.
Ambria said she should go to take her shower. Emily said OK. Reda said she thinks of her every day. Emily said something about a coffee drink. Emily said she doesn’t know why it’s so dark. She said they’re not in a cave. Emily thanked her for calling. Reda said she can call “any time of day or night.” They said they love each other. Emily said they will talk to her later. Reda said something in the background that couldn’t be understood. She was talking too quietly for the microphone to pick her up.
Emily said they would let her go take her shower. Reda told her to rinse her hair good. They said bye.
