Ambria called Emily on Skype. Skype said she is not available (online but not answering). Ambria retried immediately. Emily answered on this attempt. She said something very faintly. Ambria waved. Emily asked again if she could hear. Ambria said she can now.
Emily asked what she’s doing. She just got out of the shower. Emily asked if she dries her hair. Ambria usually towel dries it, but she didn’t have time today. Emily asked if she styles it. She does after it’s dry. Emily said that’s what she does too.
Emily asked what the weather is like. Ambria told her it’s in the 60s most days and in the 70s next week. Emily said that “sounds good.”
Emily went to the library. She tried to remember the names of some of the manga she saw. “Blue something.” She asked for a few that Ambria is reading. 7 Deadly Sins- Emily saw that one, Animal Crossing, Cat Massage Therapy… Emily asked what that one is. Ambria told her it’s about a cat that’s a massage therapist. Emily doesn’t think she saw that one. She thinks she would remember it. Love and Lies- Emily thinks she saw it. Emily said she saw one that was “something about Black.” Ambria suggested “Black Butler.” Emily said that was it. Emily said one with “Bea” in it. She wishes she had taken a picture. Emily said there’s an anime con there in June for people 12-18. Ambria said it sounds neat.
Ambria told her their field day is Wednesday. Emily asked if they don’t have to sign up for events. Ambria said it’s not like any field day she’s ever done. Emily said, “Me neither.” Ambria told her they will have bounce houses and food trucks. Emily said she’s excited and hopes they will have something fun. She said maybe they will have prizes for highest bouncer or “most food consumed.”
Emily asked if she’s going to Trader Joe’s. Yes. She asked if she has tried the watermelon drink. No.
Ambria told her she’s off Monday. Emily asked if the “summer stuff” is opening up on Memorial Day. Ambria doesn’t know. Emily asked if there’s a pool near her. Ambria said there’s one at Lincoln Park. Emily asked if she will go. Ambria would like to. Emily asked if she can go to the one Kian is a life guard at. Ambria doesn’t know where that is. Emily said they have a lot of indoor pools. Emily hasn’t been swimming “in a while.” Ambria hasn’t either.
There was no sound for a while. Emily’s audio came back and she said her phone said “on hold.”
Ambria asked if she has told about the field trip. Emily said she has already forgotten. Her French class is going to a bakery in the Junction and then taking pictures of anything French they find there. Emily asked if it’s a French area. No. Emily asked if there’s “French grass or concrete.” Ambria thinks they are supposed to take pictures of French words they find.
Emily noted her fingernail color had changed to purple. Yes. Emily asked if Summer and Galaxy went with her. No, Galaxy went the next day with her dad. Emily asked if he got his nails done. Ambria thinks he got a manicure.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she will. Ambria said she should go. Emily said she would talk to her Wednesday and that she would probably be tired from field day.
