Ambria tried calling her on the phone at 05/25/2022 3:16pm. Emily answered and asked what she’s doing. Ambria said she tried Emily on Skype. Emily said she “was sitting there with it open.”
Emily asked if she’s been to a place called Daiso. Yes. Emily asked what she thinks of it. She likes it. Emily went over the weekend. She said they have a lot of things. Ambria told her the one she went to had a Hello Kitty section. Ambria said the one she went to had mostly anime and Hello Kitty stuff. Emily asked if hers had housewares. Ambria said she’s thinking of a different place but Daiso sounds familiar. Emily said there aren’t many, so she would know if she’s been. Ambria thinks there was one in a mall that closed. Emily said she thought of Ambria when she was there. Ambria looked it up and saw that the nearest one is in the international district.
Emily asked Ambria’s favorite characters besides Hello Kitty. Ambria said she likes Kuromi and Melody.
Emily asked if she’s tried Trader Joe’s hashbrowns. Ambria thinks she has. Emily got them recently and put them in the air fryer. She didn’t add any grease.
Emily asked how her weekend was. Ambria said it was good. It was really warm. Emily said it was cool there on Monday – 65. She sat outside in it.
Emily asked if any friends came over. Summer and Kian came to watch anime. Emily asked if they’re through with Ouran High School Host Club. No. Emily asked how many they watch. Usually about 3. Emily asked what they will watch next. She doesn’t know yet. Emily asked if they will come during the summer. Ambria hopes so. Emily asked if they have jobs. Yes, they both have jobs. Ambria told her where they work. Summer works at Dream Dinners and Kian is a lifeguard. Emily asked if she could be a lifeguard. Ambria doesn’t think she can swim well enough. She mostly doggy paddles.
Ambria said they had a state test in Science. Emily asked how it went. Ambria was confused about most of it. Emily asked about independent living. They’re working on a project they were supposed to present “a long time ago.” Emily asked if next week is her field day. Yes. Emily said it was weird it’s Wednesday. Ambria told her it’s because Wednesday is a short day. Emily asked if that’s county-wide. Yes.
Ambria told her French is going on a field trip next Wednesday. Emily asked where. They’re going to a French bakery in the Junction. They’re going to walk around and take pictures of French things for a prize. Emily said she should know since she’s familiar with the area. Ambria is having trouble thinking of things. Emily asked what she’s getting at the bakery. Ambria might get macaroons. Emily asked if they’re crunchy. Ambria said there’s a thin crunchy layer. Emily got some that were more crunchy than they should have been.
Emily went to an Indian restaurant. She got a platter of food that was “interesting.” They offer different foods on different days, so she wants to go back. She said she didn’t know much about it last time. She liked it, but it was too much for her to “handle at one time.” She had fun trying it out.
Emily is going to the library. She has never been. Emily asked what she should look at. Ambria suggests manga if they have it. Emily thinks they will have a lot. Emily asked if she’s still reading “those books.” Yes. Emily asked which. Ambria is reading a few different ones.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she would and asked if she has tests coming up. She has a French quiz. Emily said she wouldn’t have any trouble with that. Emily wished her a good “couple of days” and said she would talk Saturday.
