Emily asked how she felt. She’s almost good now. Emily asked if she went to school all three days. Yes.
Emily asked if she got her nails done. Yes. Emily asked fi they’re longer. They’ve probably grown out. Emily asked if they’re her real nails. No. Emily asked if Galaxy got her nails done too. Yes, and they planted some plants on the roof. She told Emily which ones. Emily said good and that she always has big ideas (presumably about what she wants to plant) that never pan out.
Emily asked how school is. Ambria said it’s good. They have AP testing all this and next week. Emily asked what AP classes she has. None.
Ambria told her they have field day coming up. Emily asked what events she’s in. It’s not that kind of field day. Ambria told her it’s “a bunch of bounce houses, carnival games, and food trucks.“ Emily asked when it is. June 1. Emily said she hopes they have “some nifty food trucks.”
She asked if Ambria has tried any new food recently. No, but we got ramen again recently. Emily asked how it went. Ambria liked it. She couldn’t eat it all in one sitting, so she had it later. Emily asked if it was still good. Ambria said it was. Emily talked about a place near her that sells ramen.
Emily asked if she’s having pretzels. Yes. Emily asked if she’s drinking the orange vitamin water. Yes. Emily said that’s her favorite. Ambria tried to recall another flavor she had recently.
Emily asked if Ambria’s stomach just growled. Maybe. Emily said it sounded like a monster.
Emily asked if she likes grilled asparagus. No. Emily is apparently cooking that. She asked if Ambria doesn’t like it because the stems are hard. Ambria doesn’t like most green vegetables. Emily listed a few to see if she liked them. Ambria likes raw cabbage. Emily asked about several others, including many that were not green vegetables. She asked what Ambria’s “most hated” vegetable is. Ambria thought about it and said it might be greens. Emily likes those because she grew up eating them. Ambria never liked them.
Emily said something about the cat coming in. She showed it to Ambria. Emily told about a toy she has for the cat called “Cat Dancer.” Emily described it. Ambria said it sounds funny.
Emily asked if Ambria has a Panera close. Ambria doesn’t know of any close by. Emily told about their reward club. Ambria said it sounded “nice.” Emily said she has one two minutes away. Emily said she tried green tea and some kind of mango lemonade that she says is like orange juice.
Emily asked if she had Galaxy over again. Yes. Emily asked if they played games. They spent most of the time on the roof. Emily asked what kind of flowers they got. Ambria named some. Emily asked if she wore gloves. Yes. Emily talked about not messing up her manicure. Emily asked if she will come over again to play games. Ambria said “maybe.”
Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily said she’s “doing OK.” She said she hasn’t heard anything else about Elvis. Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she has to buy Reda a new coffee pot. She wants to find a cheap one that makes the single cup like a Keurig. Ambria wished her luck finding one.
Ambria said she will get off the phone. Emily asked what they do while people are taking tests. Ambria isn’t sure. Emily talked about something the cat is doing. Emily wished her a good week. She asked if she has homework to do. Some. Emily said she will talk to her on Saturday.
