They wished each other good morning. Emily asked what she’s doing. She just got out of the shower. Emily asked if she showers first thing or eats breakfast. Saturday is the only day she takes it in the morning. Emily said she isn’t doing anything yet either.

Ambria told her it’s warming up here. It’s in the mid to high 50s. Emily asked if it gets to the 70s. Last summer, it was in the 80s for a while. Emily said that’s “not too bad.” She said it’s not the 90s or 100s. Ambria told her it did get to those temperatures for a few days.

Emily asked how school is. It’s “fine.” She had a bunch of tests on Friday to end the quarter. Emily asked what she’s doing in science. They are learning about converting… She doesn’t know how to explain. They have to figure out the concentration of something in a number of liters. Emil asked if it’s easy. She’s still confused but getting the hang of it.

Emily asked if people noticed her nails. Yes, her friends liked them. Emily asked some questions about the manicure, including whether they had ever grown that long. Probably close to it.

Ambria said she hasn’t been doing much besides homework for the past few days. Emily asked about something she was making. Ambria asked for more details. Emily said Ambria tried to explain and Emily had never heard of it. It had to do with colors. Ambria asked if it was the chalk thing. Emily said possibly. Ambria asked if it was for science class. No, it was on her own. Ambria asked if it was Summer’s birthday gift. That may have been it. Ambria asked if it was the bead things you iron. Yes, that was it. Emily asked what it’s called. Ambria told her it’s perler beads. Emily said she would look it up.

Emily asked if she would play video games this weekend. Ambria hopes she will. Ambria told her we’re taking some donations to the senior center thrift store today. Emily said that would be nice and asked what she’s donating. Ambria picked some things from her room a few weeks ago.

Emily said she is watching the birds. She named the birds that she has seen.

She showed Ambria her cat. She said the cat has been getting under the couch. She scratches something under the couch to get inside the couch. Ambria said Korra and Panda did that in Reda’s bed. Emily has to reach in and get her out with the broom. That makes the hole bigger. Emily has put boxes and water jugs around the couch to block her from getting in. She asked what Reda did. Ambria said she closed them out of the rooms. She would shake a tube at them if they got in. Emily shakes a can of pennies that the cat hates. She raises her voice too. Emily is still trying to figure out how to deal with it. She wants to get rid of the things she has stacked around the couch. She sometimes comes out for a treat but sometimes won’t. Emily asked Ambria to share any ideas she has.

Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said Hugh is there to visit. Ambria said she should get off the phone. Emily said she will talk to her Wednesday and hope she has a good week at school.
