Emily answered the call and did not speak for a long time. They sat in silence until the call disconnected. Skype said she’s unavailable. Ambria tried the call again. Her mom answered, but her voice was difficult to hear.
They said hello. She told Ambria she’s in the car. She talked about the process for renewing your registration. She has to get a yearly inspection first. She’s working on that this week. Then she has to go to the courthouse to pay for the registration. Emily said she hopes Ambria will have a more fun day than her.
Ambria told her today is Summer’s birthday. Ambria said she’s going grocery shopping… and that’s all she has. Emily asked if Summer is having a party. No. Emily asked if she’s taking her birthday gift to her. Ambria will give it to her Monday. Emily asked what she got her. She’s painting a wooden box for her. She’s going to put candy in it. She got her some Pocky and a Pop-it. Emily said banana Pocky is her favorite. Ambria hasn’t seen it. Emily asked if she’s seen the green tea one. Yes, but she’s not sure she’s tried it. Ambria named the flavors she’s tried.
Emily asked if she could hear her and said she thinks there’s a delay.
Emily asked about her math test. Ambria didn’t enjoy it but did better than she expected. Emily said she’s sorry she didn’t like it but is glad it was better than expected. Ambria said most people didn’t like it. Emily asked if it was too difficult. Ambria doesn’t know.
Emily said something that couldn’t be heard. Ambria asked what she said. Emily asked if she’ll try a tea place today. Ambria has tried all the ones in West Seattle, and it’s hard to get to the others. Emily asked if she’s tried all the ones downtown. Ambria doesn’t know if there are many downtown.
Bertie isn’t eating well even with the new food. Emily think she’s just being picky. She loves the treats. Emily has tried wet food, food toppers, and some other things. She tried canned chicken. Ambria asked if she likes tuna. Emily said she doesn’t. She got a can from Kroger about 9 months ago and she didn’t eat any.
Emily’s audio is very choppy.
Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily said she’s “doing OK.”
Emily started talking about water enhancer for pets. Then she went back to talking about Reda. They took her back off physical therapy. Emily thinks it’s because medicare only pays for a limited amount at a time. She’s gone through her allotment for now. She hasn’t had any falls. She said she’s doing “the same old thing.” Emily said something about the dentist.
Emily asked if her stomach is growling. Yes. They laughed. Emily said she should let her go so she can eat. Ambria said she should go.
