Ambria asked Emily if she could reschedule her call since Ambria had scheduled a psychiatry appointment at the typical call time. Emily agreed.
Ambria tried calling her at 5:58pm, but Skype said she is unavailable. Ambria immediately retried. Skype again said she is unavailable. Ambria retried again at 6:01pm. Skype again said she is unavailable.
Ambria tried messaging her on Skype at 6:03pm. The message said, “I have tried calling you a couple of times. Is now a bad time? It says you’re online.” Emily called her on Skype after this.
Emily asked if Ambria could hear her. She apologized because she’s at Petco and got signed up for a pet program. She said she didn’t want to be in the pet program.
Emily asked how her appointment went. Ambria said it was OK. She said it wasn’t with the person she needed to be talking to. Emily asked about that. Ambria said it was with a psychologist and she needs a psychiatrist. Emily asked if it was with a male or female. Ambria said she prefers female. Emily said she hopes she finds what she’s looking for.
Emily asked what she’s been doing. She’s studying for her math test. She’s excited about moving on to something different. Emily asked what she’s studying. Ambria doesn’t know the words for it. She gave an example. Emily said it was like a different language and she wouldn’t like it anyway. Emily said she hopes the test goes well, and even if it doesn’t, all Ambria can do is her best on it. Emily asked if it’s tomorrow. No, it’s Friday. Emily commented about Fridays being ruined by tests.
Emily asked what else. Yesterday, they had a holocaust survivor come and speak. Emily said there weren’t many of those left. Ambria said he was 86. Emily said she thought he would be in his 90s. Ambria said he wasn’t in the camps. He was in hiding. Emily asked if he lived here. Yes, he lives in West Seattle and had grandkids graduate from her school. Emily said that was neat.
Emily took Panda to the vet yesterday for her heartworm medication. She took her sweater off. A quarter-sized chunk of fur came off with the sweater. The skin was black underneath it. The sweater causes moisture, but if she doesn’t wear the sweater, she scratches at her skin. She’s getting an appointment with an animal dermatologist. Emily asked if she’d told Ambria about the animal retina specialist. Emily is trying to sort all of that out.
Emily is at Petco because the kitten doesn’t want to eat anything. She’s buying 8 different foods to see what she will like.
Ambria asked how Reda is. “Doing good.” They stopped her therapy for a while. She’s “doing OK.” She said hello and that she loves Ambria. Ambria reciprocated.
Ambria said she should go. Emily said to do her best on the math test but not to “go crazy” with the studying. Emily told her to take a deep breath even though she doesn’t think it will help. Emily thinks she will do well. Emily said she will talk to her Saturday and she loves her.
Emily asked if she gave Maya her birthday gift. Ambria asked if she means Summer. Yes.
