Skype said Emily is offline. Ambria tried her again. This time, the call rang through.
They wished each other good morning. Emily asked what she’s doing. She just got out of the shower. Emily asked if she has the heat turned on. Yes. Emily asked how it feels. Ambria said it feels nice. Emily asked if it’s on the roof. Ambria told her the thing that sends the refrigerant is on the roof and showed her one of the wall units. Emily asked if we already had heat. Yes. Emily asked if the heat was older. No, they just built the town homes. Emily asked if this heats better. Yes. Emily asked if they are loud. Ambria said the old is loud but the new is quiet.
Emily asked what she’s been doing. Ambria has been working on her perler bead project. She thinks there’s two left. Ambria said she spilled her beads yesterday in her room. Emily asked if that’s on the hard floor or carpet. Ambria said it was on the carpet. Emily hopes she can find them all.
Emily asked if any friends have been over. No. Ambria called Galaxy, but she’s out of town. Emily asked if she goes back on Monday. Yes.
Emily said it’s been in the 20s there. Ambria told her it got down to the 30s, but it’s warming up now. Emily said it’s supposed to be in the 40s today. Emily said the trash can froze together, and the car had iced over.
Ambria told her she hasn’t been doing much this week. She’s been playing video games and doing beads. Emily asked if she still likes her computer game. Yes. Emily asked if she plays a lot. Ambria said we try to play every day. Ambria played picross and sudoku. Emily asked if she played sudoku on… but she couldn’t come up with the word. Ambria asked if she meant the Switch. Yes, and yes. Ambria told her she’s been playing solitaire on her computer. Emily said she and her grandmother played solitaire on the computer together. Emily said she had trouble using the mouse and would get mad at it.
Ambria told her we went to Metropolitan Market yesterday and she got a strawberry shortcake. Emily asked if it was good. Yes, and she still has some left. Emily told about a new coffee she tried at Dunkin. Emily is going to try a honey boba. Emily said she has a ShareTea nearby, but she’s going to a shop closer to her. She wants to try the one at ShareTea and let Ambria know what she thinks of it. Ambria said all the people who work at ShareTea are young people.
Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily said she’s “doing good.” Wednesday they had spaghetti, and Reda didn’t like it. She’s still doing therapy on her good leg to keep it strong. They are trying to keep her legs balanced since they’ve been working on her weak leg. Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she will.
Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily wished her a good week at school.
