They wished each other good morning. Emily said something, but it did not get picked up. She asked again what Ambria is doing this morning. Ambria is going grocery shopping. Emily said she spilled her coffee.
Emily asked how school went this week. Good. Ambria said they didn’t do anything new. Emily asked what she thinks about pre-calculus. She doesn’t like it. Emily understands. Emily struggled “really hard.” She could never “get any of the concepts.” Emily asked if she could change it. Ambria said she thinks it’s too late. Emily asked if the teacher was male or female. Ambria said female. She’s the same teacher. Emily asked if it’s the same teacher. Ambria told her it’s the same course.
Emily asked about French. It’s good. They replied to an email on Thursday. Emily asked who the email was from. It was a fake email. They had emailed a company about a tech problem. They emailed back, and the students had to write a reply. Emily said they were learning “business words.”
Emily asked what independent living class is like. When they come back from break, they’re doing mock job interviews. Emily asked if it teaches you about “finances and stuff like that.” They haven’t gotten there yet. They did resumes and cover letters and now job interviews. Emily asked if they were fake. They’re real, but she hasn’t used them yet. Emily asked if they asked where the kids want to work. Yes, they don’t have to have a set job, but the practice the process. Emily said that sounded helpful and like “it would teach you things.”
Emily asked how Lost Ark is going. Ambria hasn’t played because she’s been busy with homework, but she’s going to play today. Emily asked if that’s pre-calculus homework. Yes.
Emily asked how Maya’s birthday went. It was good. She liked her gifts. Emily asked if she has French and Math with her. Language arts.
Emily asked if she’ll play more this weekend. Yes. Emily asked if she’s a sorceress. Yes. Emily asked her second choice. She doesn’t remember.
Emily said the car is making a noise when you turn that sounds like you’ve “run over an eagle.” Emily said she isn’t driving erratically.
Emily said she saw a coyote, looking for a cat to eat. Ambria said she wouldn’t like that. Emily said she saw one near a park near their house. She said there were two looking for food. She said there aren’t a lot, but there are a lot of bunnies. She saw a raccoon that lives in a storm drain. She’s afraid to see him because she thinks he might make a noise that would scare her. Ambria told her we don’t have raccoons that get in people’s trash. Emily said we have seagulls. Emily saw two armadillos. She saw them at the bank.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she will. She will tell about Ambria’s calculus class. Emily said Reda will say, “better her than me!”
Ambria said she should go. Emily said she hopes she has a good Saturday and enjoys her game.
