Emily asked about school. Ambria changed her idea in art. She’s emulating Andy Warhol and doing 4 Hello Kitties. Emily asked if they look the same but different colors. They have different colored bows. Emily asked how many years she’s been drawing Hello Kitty. Ambria doesn’t draw it much because she’s not good at it.

Emily asked about the weather. Ambria said it’s in the 50s. Emily said that’s what it’s like there. She was going to talk to Ambria outside but the dogs were barking.

Ambria told her she’s been playing picross because she got another picross game. She’s also been playing sudoku because she got a sudoku game. Emily said she thinks it’s hard. Ambria has been having trouble with it. Emily said they should give you a space to work out the numbers. Ambria said this one lets you do notes.

Emily asked what she’s doing in French class. Her teacher is out. They’re picking French art and doing a presentation about it. Emily asked what she’s picking. She doesn’t know. She needs to talk to her teacher.

In language arts, they’re doing a small poster. It needs to have the title of the book and the author. That’s worth 10 points. They pick a theme for the book and make a drawing to represent that. Emily asked how much she has left. Ambria told her. Emily said it sounds like she’s half way or 60%. Ambria thinks 60%.

Emily asked about science. Ambria asked if she told about her teacher. He just got back from paternity leave and now his nanny has Covid so he’s had to miss more school. Emily said that put him in a bind. Ambria agreed. Emily asked how long it was for quarantine and guessed 10 days. Ambria said it’s something like that.

Emily asked if any of Ambria’s friends thought they had Covid. Summer had it last week. She came back yesterday but they sent her back home because she hadn’t waited the right number of days. Emily asked if Ambria still feels good. Ambria had a stuffy nose, but she thinks it’s the weather. Emily has had that experience too. Emily read that Omicron is so contagious that everyone will eventually get it. Ambria said 25% of the school is absent every day. A lot of schools are having to close. She said her school does better than the other high school, and they haven’t had to close yet. Emily asked why her school does better. Ambria isn’t sure, but she thinks they aren’t as well off and thinks that might have something to do with it. Emily asked if the other school is south. Yes. Emily asked if she was close to having to go to that school. No, they live move in the suburbs. Emily said, “So far so good then.”

Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said Reda didn’t have Covid. Ambria said she wants to go. Emily said she hopes her days are good, the people stay well, and her classes go well.
