Emily answered but her audio was off. She said it “does that weird pause sometimes.”
Emily asked what she’s doing today. Ambria got home from school. Emily asked how it was. It was OK. She’s coming up on the end of the semester. Emily said ”that is right.” Emily guessed she’s having tests she needs to prepare for. They have finals the last week of January. Emily said that ”sounds rough.” Emily asked her elective for next semester. Ambria thinks it’s photography. Emily said that should be “interesting” and said Reda took it.
Emily said the items from Hot Topic are still not in stock. Ambria told her she got one more item today. Emily asked if she’s opened it. Yes. Ambria told her it’s a black chain bracelet.
Ambria told her quite a few people got COVID over winter break. She said her French teacher got it, the principle got it, other teachers, and some students. Emily asked if they’re asymptomatic. Ambria doesn’t know. The students don’t have to do anything because they weren’t exposed.
Emily asked if she saw Galaxy and Summer. Ambria said she saw them at school. Ambria said Galaxy missed the morning and thought she had COVID but her sore throat went away. Summer was sick and left school. Emily said a lot of people are having COVID-like symptoms. She said it’s allergies. She said the dog is having the allergy problem, but she (Emily) is not.
Ambria said she got tested on Monday since the district was doing a bunch of tests. Ambria got there at 12:50 and waited in a “really long” line. She got a test but had to wait for an hour. Emily asked if she had anything to do. She had her Tomagotchi, but it doesn’t do much. Ambria said it was cold and it started “snow-hailing.”
Emily asked if they have to wear masks at school. Yes. Emily asked if you have to in stores. Ambria said she doesn’t know if you have to but everyone does. Emily said that’s not the case there. She said it’s “really weird.” She said she can’t control what they do. She just doesn’t get close. “So far, so good.” She hasn’t gotten it. She said the dog has the most symptoms of everyone.
Ambria said her test was negative. Emily asked if she’d had the longer test. No. Ambria said she did the test herself at school.
Emily asked when she’s getting her booster. Ambria said we scheduled her a sooner appointment. She thinks it’s in February. Emily said you can get it 5 months after your previous one now based on CDC guidance.
Emily said she doesn’t go out much. She said Panda gave her itchy eyes.
Emily said it got to 19 overnight recently. The dog went out and came running back in on three legs. Ambria said it’s been warming since the snow. Emily asked if it melted. Almost all of it. Emily asked if we’re having more. Ambria doesn’t think so. The high is in the 40s.
Emily said she’s feeding the birds. She feeds them chips and bird food. She gave them water, but it froze.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she will. Ambria said she should go. Emily thanked her for calling and wished her luck on her final.
