Emily emailed Ambria to ask if she could change her call time to work around an appointment Emily has. Ambria changed it to 10am our time.
Emily asked how she’s doing. Ambria said she’ll eat breakfast after this. Emily asked what she’s having. Maybe toast. Emily said that’s not much.
Emily asked if she’s gotten anything else. Ambria got 3 packages a few days ago. Emily asked what they were. Ambria told her they were a bubble tea keychain… Emily interrupted and asked if it was OK. Ambria said it looked weird when she first got it, but now it’s OK. She got a blue and black striped shirt from eBay. Emily asked if it fit. Yes. Ambria also got a choker “with the thing on the front.” Emily said good.
Emily got a lava lamp for Christmas. She said it’s red and orange and took hours to get any of the lava to flow. She got a bunch of jigsaw puzzles including one with cats doing yoga. Emily got a plain hoodie. She said it’s “kind of an aqua color.”
Emily asked what Ambria thinks of the cat that wears glasses. She’s to let kids know it’s OK to wear glasses. Ambria giggled. Emily said she was a stray before the optometrist took her in.
Ambria told her it snowed here a few days ago, and it stayed because it’s so cold. Emily asked if she went out. Ambria told her she went to Starbucks. Ambria showed her out the window. Emily asked if that was a church. Yes. Emily asked if she wears her boots. Ambria just wears her Vans. Emily asked about walking. Ambria told her there was some ice.
Emily asked what she ordered at Starbucks. Ambria got a chai tea latte. Emily hasn’t been there in a while. The last thing she got was “OK.” Emily bought a bunch of coffee pods. She has chocolate chip cookie dough, vanilla and cinnamon, and cherry hot chocolate.
Ambria told her she played Splatoon. Emily asked if Summer came over. She couldn’t come. Ambria said Jacob came over instead and taught him to play Splatoon. Ambria lost at Mario Kart. Emily said he was probably a professional. Emily asked if Ambria gave Jacob his secret Santa. Ambria said she’s going to try to plan it for tomorrow or Friday. Emily said she hopes it will work out. Emily asked if Ambria is a professional Splatoon player. Ambria said kinda. Emily said Ambria likes it and “that’s the main thing.”
Ambria told her the handyman is coming back today to do some painting. Emily asked if he’s painting Ambria’s room. No, he painted where he replaced the bathroom mirror. Emily named some things a handyman had done for her recently.
Ambria asked how Reda is. She went to Benny’s house for Christmas. Emily asked if she’d told Ambria she got her some clothes. She thinks Reda needs more. Emily named some of the colors she got. Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her.
Ambria said she should go. Emily thanked her for changing the call time and wished her a good breakfast and day. Emily said she will talk to her Saturday.
