Emily said she got a package yesterday and asked if it was a gift for her. She hinted to what it was before saying it. Ambria nodded in acknowledgment. Emily said they were very warm and soft and thanked her.
Emily asked if she got her email about her Christmas list. Ambria isn’t sure. Emily said she sent it Thursday or Wednesday. She asked her question about the priorities. Ambria said she set those intentionally, and she can sort by priority to decide what to buy.
Emily asked about her eye doctor visit. Ambria told her we left at 6:30am. She got to eat at Panera. Emily asked what. Ambria told her she got tomato soup and a bread bowl. She said we ate it in the car. Emily asked if she spilled any. No.
Ambria said they did the normal eye exam stuff like reading the chart. Then they did a bunch of stuff where you have to watch for lights to flash, pressing a button each time. Emily said that’s a visual field test and that she has to do it. Then they took pictures. The actual doctor said the only thing that changed was that her central vision problem got a little bigger, but her vision didn’t get any worse. Her prescription hasn’t changed. Emily asked what her prescription is. Emily said typical is 20/20 and asked what hers is. Ambria doesn’t know. Emily clarified what she understood, and Ambria agreed. Emily said that wasn’t bad or good. Emily asked if she would go back in a year. Ambria said she thinks about it as good news because she hasn’t needed a new prescription in quite a while and it still hasn’t changed. Emily asked if she would get new glasses. No. Emily asked if the doctor was nice. Yes.
Emily asked if she got to eat dinner out. Yes, we went to a fish company and got shrimp and fries. Emily asked if she was nervous. No, but she was dreading it because it’s not fun. Emily is glad everything worked out.
Emily asked if she had to get her work from school. Yes, and she’s been working on it.
Emily asked about Saturday school. You’re supposed to be able to talk to teachers to get help, but only one of her teachers was there. Emily understood that it’s not a normal day of school and asked if her teachers not being there was a problem. She wanted to work on math and art but those teachers weren’t there. Emily asked if it wasn’t as productive as she’d hoped. She still got some things done. Emily said it wasn’t a total loss then. Ambria agreed.
Emily asked if she went shopping. Yes.
Emily showed a cat and Ambria waved at it.
Emily said she has her Christmas decorations in the yard. She named what she had. She said her lights look pretty from the road.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she had started physical therapy again.
Ambria said she should get off the phone. Emily thanked her for calling.
