The call rang for a full minute, but Emily answered after that. They said hello. Emily said something about being outside.
Emily asked if she received a Wild Fable pullover hoodie for her birthday. No. Emily said she bought it and then got a refund for it. She said it was weird.
Emily said she mowed the yard and is putting up yard decorations. Emily has an inflatable and owl and dog wearing a santa hat. She has candy canes to line the walkway with. She also has rainbow colored meteor lights. She asked if Ambria had seen them. No. She said people put them on trees and the light “runs down like a meteor.” Ambria didn’t seem to know.
Ambria said she has her eye appointment yesterday. Emily asked if it’s for her checkup. She thinks so. Emily asked if she has to take off from school. Yes. Emily asked how we get there. We rent a car. Emily asked if it was 5 hours to get there. Ambria said she thinks it’s 4 hours. Emily asked why she goes to Portland. Ambria doesn’t know. She thinks they’re a specialist. She said she does more than she does at her normal eye doctor.
Ambria asked what she and Reda did. They went to Walmart, Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, and Big Lots. They wanted to go to Ross and TJ Max but ran out of time. They got pizza. They went to a Cookout since they don’t have them in Texas. Reda got a chocolate shake and liked it. Emily got a banana pudding shake. Ambria said that sounded good. Emily said they have 40 flavors of milk shake. She said they had watermelon over the summer. Emily told about the banana pudding shake. Emily said one of them has the crust in it.
Emily got her an outfit with a fuzzy gray shirt with two cups of cocoa on them. The pants are fuzzy and have winter things on them. She thought it was “super cute.” Reda picked it out. She got her a gray outfit with matching top and bottom. Emily said she took her down “every single aisle of every single store.” She said if she went to fast, Reda told her to slow down. They looked at clothes, kitchen knick-nacks, and everything else.
Emily said Korra is sweet and let Emily carry her around. Panda wasn’t as friendly. Emily tried to pick her up, but she didn’t seem to like it. Ambria said that’s the opposite of how they usually are and maybe Panda has been scarred by being picked up too much. Emily said they switch cat beds. Emily thought they were bored so she got them a cat tunnel and cat treats. They didn’t like them. Emily asked if Ambria put clothes on Korra. No, she wouldn’t let her. Korra didn’t let Ambria pick her up. Emily said she would let Emily scratch her stomach and only got a few scratches and bites in.
Emily tried to find a groomer that would take care of the cat hair, but not many will.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said Reda “went on and on” about how pretty she is and how much she’s grown. Emily asked if she looks the same or different. Ambria said mostly the same. Emily said she will let her know.
Ambria said she should get off the phone. Emily noted Ambria didn’t get the shirt and said she had intended to ask before. Emily said she would talk to her on Saturday.
