Emily asked what she’s doing today. Ambria is going to take out the garbage.
Emily showed Ambria the dog’s Halloween costume it’s still wearing. Emily asked Ambria to repeat what she had said. She couldn’t hear for the pet sounds.
Ambria said she’s taking out the trash and will go shopping. Emily said she went to Trader Joe’s to see what they had. She told about the frosty ferns. Ambria asked if that’s a plant. Yes. Emily asked if Ambria has seen them. No. Emily said she wants one. She won’t get one because they’re $10 and she will probably kill it. She thinks the cats will eat it.
Ambria said she has Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving. Emily said she’ll have a short week. Emily remembers going shopping with her grandmother when school let out. Emily said it was magical because she knew she would be off from school. She said her grandmother was pretty grump and “didn’t want (her) messing around.”
Ambria said she will get ingredients for food today. Emily asked if she’s making a dessert. Ambria thinks she will make a pumpkin pie. She’s also making corn pudding. Emily said that’s her specialty.
Ambria told her they have a math test on Tuesday. Emily said that was stress before the holiday. Ambria laughed and said they didn’t do it Wednesday because some people won’t come on Wednesday.
Ambria said she got her background finished in art. Emily interrupted to tell about her coffee and then stopped herself and told Ambria to continue about the art. Emily asked if the self-portrait is coming along. Ambria is having trouble with her hair. Emily asked about glasses. Ambria wasn’t wearing them in the picture. She’s glad about that because she thinks it would be harder. Ambria said she has to erase some of her forehead for her bangs. Emily said she thought she could just put them on but she understands now that isn’t possible. Ambria said her bangs are wider than her head.
Emily said on Wednesday when they talk, she’ll be done with school. Emily thinks they won’t do much on Wednesday.
Emily said she’s been birdwatching and something about a Slinky. She still hasn’t mowed. She needs to and thinks this will be the last time. Emily said the city cites people who don’t mow the yard. Ambria said that was weird.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she hopes Ambria will have a good Saturday and take it easy. Ambria said she has some homework. Emily said she hopes she has a good week at school, except for the math test.
