Emily asked what she’s doing. She took a shower and is getting ready to go shopping.

Emily asked how school is going, OK? Yes. They had normal schedule Thursday and Friday. They went to all their classes. She said they made name tags and started their first projects in art. They’re going to hang them outside until they disintegrate. In language arts, they did self-assessments and getting to know each other. Ambria described the getting to know each other exercises. Emily said those were good ways to get to know people. In history, they’re talking about identity in America. In French, they went outside and made a big circle. They had to throw a ball to someone on the other side of the circle and said the person’s name they were throwing to. Emily said she wouldn’t be able to catch it. Ambria caught hers the first time and never again. Emily asked if she goes by a French name in French. She goes by her given name. Emily said she saw someone at a store with Ambre on a name tag. In French, they went outside again on Friday. They made two concentric circles of people and talked to the person they were facing. Then they rotated circles. They came back in and divided into groups. Each group had questions they had to answer with different people in the group. In Science, they read about COVID. Each table would read a different section and read it to the class. They made a speaker out of a cup on Friday with their groups. Theirs played Imagine Dragons.

Emily interrupted to say she tries all the drinks every season. She showed what she was trying. She said this one is bad. It tastes like a combo of candle and cough syrup. She likes to try all the drinks because they’re “limited time.”

Emily said she’s glad she’s having a good time at school and asked for the names of her French pen pals. Ambria told her Sim, Sarah, and Mat. Emily wanted to know which were male and female.

Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she would. Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily said she’s glad school is “going good.” She said she thought Ambria would have more to say on Wednesday. Emilly asked who she sits with at lunch. Ambria hasn’t figured out who has her lunch yet. Emily asked if they have to sit in the lunch room. No, they have an open campus. Emily asked if she had tried her shoes. Yes, they fit. Emily asked if she’s put the waterproofing spray on them yet. No. Emily said she thought that might be useful if she’s walking home in the rain.
