Emily wished her good morning and asked how she is. Good. Emily asked if she’s going shopping. Emily asked if she tried the pickle popcorn stuff. No. Emily asked if she likes popcorn. Yes. Emily likes it sometimes.
Emily showed her a squirrel that was eating. Emily said he is brave. He doesn’t mind when Emily comes around. She asked what she should name him. Ambria suggested Charlie. Emily said he comes to eat the bird food she puts out.
Emily asked if she’s picked out her classes. Ambria told her she did in the spring. Emily asked for a reminder of her classes. Ambria mentioned drawing, French 3, and photography. She has trouble remembering. Emily asked what math she is taking. Ambria thinks pre-calculus. Emily said that makes her “a little sweaty.”
Emily asked if she’s excited about school. Yes, but she hasn’t been in a long time. Emily said she understands but then corrected that she imagines what it must be like. She said she would be nervous.
Ambria told her we ordered Thai food last night. Emily asked what she got. Prawns. Emily asked how they were. Ambria told her they were good but a little crunchy and hurt her mouth. Emily hates when they’re like that. Emily asked if she got soup. No. Emily described a soup she has at a local Thai place. Emily tried mild, but it was “super-spicy.” She liked it except for the spice.
Emily asked if she’s been seeing any other friends. She spent time with Jacob and Diego on Thursday. Emily asked if her friends know each other. They are all part of the same friend group in 9th grade. Emily asked if the friend group is the same. Ambria said it broke and she’s trying to put it back together. Emily said maybe they can get back together and “things will be better for you.” Emily asked if Jacob and Diego are friends. Yes. Emily said they weren’t the ones who broke it then. Ambria said no one really broke it; it just dissolved.
Ambria said she got ice cream sandwiches last night. Emily asked if they were chocolate and vanilla. Yes. Emily likes them. She told Ambria about a frozen custard place called Andy’s. Emily told her what she gets there. She said it’s “very sweet.” She said a small is plenty.
Ambria told her she’s just going to take the debit card to an ATM to get the money out to pool it with the rest and put some in savings. Emily said she should get the physical card soon.
Ambria asked how Reda is. She’s still walking – about 300 feet. They’re doing therapy on her arm. It’s mobile. She sits in her chair outside. She likes that. Ambria asked Emily to tell her hi and she loves her.
