Emily answered and took a few seconds to turn on her camera. Emily said she looks wide awake this morning. Ambria has been up for a while. Emily asked if she had breakfast. Ambria had cereal. Emily had chicken nuggets. She wanted a lunch item for breakfast.
Emily said she thought she had her career class on Thursday. Ambria said that was right. Emily asked if she’s gotten her Starbucks card yet. No, but she thinks the teacher will bring it by. Emily said the teacher might have just gotten a single card and had to get another one since they tied. Ambria agreed that might be it.
Emily asked what she learned Thursday. Ambria told her they learned to get and give feedback. Emily said she guesses the class will end before school starts. Ambria thinks it ends August 19th. The first day of school is September 1st. Emily asked if that’s on a Friday. Ambria said it’s on a Wednesday – usually the first one in September.
Emily asked if she’s still going in-person. Ambria is worried they’re going to change it but she doesn’t want to be online again. Ambria said if they go, they will definitely be wearing masks. Emily doesn’t know if the students have to wear masks but the public at large generally doesn’t. Ambria said our governor said people should wear them indoors. Emily said her governor is an idiot and didn’t say anything like that. Ambria said she has seen a lot more people wearing masks. Emily said people look at her weird when she wears hers. Ambria said that doesn’t happen here.
Emily said Reda fell on Wednesday. Emily’s understanding is that she was walking from the bathroom with the came propped up. The cane started to fall. She tried to grab it before it fell. She grabbed a rail on the way down. She isn’t bruised or scratched. She pressed her necklace for help. Ambria said she’s glad she didn’t get hurt. Emily is too. Emily said Phyllis came to get her to go out to eat one day. Emily thinks she liked that. Emily said she goes outside to sit in the sun. Ambria said that’s good.
Emiliy thinks they’ve canceled her therapy for now. She believes Reda has plateaued but she might be able to get back in later. Ambria said to tell her hi and she loves her.
Ambria said she’s going to Trader Joe’s today. Emily said, “Again?” Ambria told her they go every Saturday. Emily asked what she’s getting. Ambria needs bananas for her smoothies. Emily asked if they’re 19 cents per banana. She said she and an old man were going around looking for the right ones and he commented on it.
Emily asked if she’s going to see any of her friends. Ambria said she’s going out today after shopping. Emily asked which. Ambria told her Jacob. Emily thought she said Diego. Ambria corrected her. She asked who he us. Ambria said, “Uh…” Emily asked if he’s someone from school. Yes.
Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily told her to have fun at the park with Jacob and she will talk to her on Wednesday. she said she will tell Reda hi and she loves her.
