Emily asked what she is doing. She just finished doing some of her art. Emily asked what she’s working on. Shadows. Emily asked if she’s using Photoshop. Yes. Emily asked how she likes it. It was confusing at first, but she’s starting to like it. Emily asked if she will keep using it. Ambria wants a drawing tablet and may use it more if she can get one. She’s just using it with a mouse now, so it’s hard to use.
Emily told Ambria Halsey had her baby. Ambria said she had heard.
Emily asked what Ambria has been doing this week. Ambria told her the art class and career training class. She said that takes up most of her day. Emily asked if she meant just the career class. Ambria said both of them. Emily asked what she’s doing in that class. They start with a warm-up question. Then they have a lecture. They go to work on their own. Then, they come back and work in groups. Emily asked if it’s over a Zoom meeting. Yes, and she has a presentation. Emily asked if she’s learning how to interview. Ambria said they will. She told here the topics they’ve done so far. Emily asked about resolving conflict. Ambria told her they read an article with 13 things to do to resolve a conflict. Ambria said it’s a lot to remember, but she doesn’t think they’re supposed to memorize them. Emily asked how many people are in her group. Today was the first day they didn’t do group work.
Emily asked for the information from her Vanilla card. Emily is going to try to reload it online.
Ambria told her we’re going to see a condo. Emily asked where it is. It’s closer to where we lived when she was in 9th grade. It’s a little further south. Ambria told her we’re not looking to rent it. We may buy it. Emily asked if it’s a rent-to-buy. Ambria said it’s just to buy. Emily asked if it’s neat. Ambria has only seen pictures but it looks neat. Emily asked if they allow pets. Ambria thinks they do. Emily asked if she has her own bathroom. Yes. Her own bedroom? Yes. Emily said she can paint it or do whatever she wants to do. Yes. Emily asked if she has plans. It will be nice to have the option, but she doesn’t have plans right now. Emily asked if she will go to the same school. Yes, but she won’t be as close. She said she could still walk, but it’s kind of a long walk for her.
Emily asked if she’s seen or talked to friends. Not recently. Emily said maybe she can “get caught back up” this weekend. Ambria told her we were going to go to a parade with a friend, but the parade isn’t happening. Emiliy asked why. It’s canceled because of COVID.
Ambria told her she got a letter from Braden on Monday. Emily asked what he’s doing. He told Ambria about their vacations and that he’s going into 8th grade and his height. Emily said “that’s crazy.” Ambria told her hunter already graduated. Emily said that was even more crazy. Emily said time flies. Ambria agreed and said it’s weird because he’s just a year older but two grades ahead.
Ambria told her to tell Reda hi and she loves her if she talks to her. Emily said she hopes she has a good weekend. Ambria thanked her. Emily asked if she had seen the photo of Halsey’s baby. No. She described the photo. Emily said she would talk to her on Saturday.
