Emily answered with a lot of background noise. They wished each other good morning. Emily asked what she’s doing. Ambria said we’re about to go get breakfast. Emily asked what she’s eating. Ambria isn’t sure. She had a smoothie.
Emily said she’s sitting on the porch and it’s 91. Emily asked what it’s like here. It’s in the 60s and will get to the 70s. Emily asked if we’re going to walk around downtown. Ambria told her we’re going to Georgetown. Emily asked where it is. Ambria said it’s a little bit south. She said it’s not very far.
Ambria told her we went to some thrift stores a couple of days ago. Emily asked what she bought. Ambria showed her some of the clothes she got. She showed her several pairs of jeans she plans to turn into shorts. She showed the black romper. Emily asked if that’s her first romper. No, but it’s the first one she’s had in a while. She showed the palm trees with stars shirt. Emily said it was neat and asked if it was a band shirt. No, it’s just a shirt. She showed the cut-off hoodie. Emily said that was “the style these days.” Emily asked if it was like a crop top. Yes. Ambria showed her the blue jacket. Emily asked if it was black. Ambria told her it’s navy blue. Emily asked if that was to wear when it’s cool but not super cold. Emily said she needs to go to the thrift store too. She’s read about a few but hasn’t tried them. Ambria told her there are good ones here in Capital Hill. Emily told about one that charges $2 per item and then drop items by 50 cents every day until the end of the week. She thinks it’s in a different city.
Emily asked if you’re allowed to try on the clothes or if the dressing rooms are still closed. Ambria said some are still closed but some were open. Emily asked if she got them all at one store. Ambria got them from 4 different stores.
Emily asked if she’s gone anywhere else to eat that’s “different.” Ambria thought about it. Emily went to Blaze pizza. She told about what she had. She got the white sauce and thinks that was a mistake. She should have gotten the red sauce. Ambria said she had hummus for dinner. Emily asked if it was normal. Yes, and they had lemon to put on it. Emily asked how it was. Pretty good. Emily asked what was with it. Pita, cucumber, and tomato.
Emily went to an ice cream place that had some Indian flavors like saffron. She got banana. “It wasn’t overly banana.” She said it wasn’t too sweet. They had a lot of flavors. She might go back.
Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily asked where she’s going, Georgetown? Yes. Emily said she would look it up. She asked if it’s a city or what. Ambria told her it’s a neighborhood. She said we’re going to an art walk and a book fair. They ended the call at July 10, 2021 9:08 AM
