Emily made a comment about her dress. Ambria giggled. Emily asked what she’s been doing. She returned some books to school. Emily asked if she has more work. Some, but she thinks she will get it done.
Emily asked if she’s tried Taoki___. Ambria doesn’t think so. Emily said it’s a fish filled with stuff. Ambria knew about it based on the description. Emily said she tried it and told her the flavors they had. Ambria didn’t have much to say about that.
Ambria told her there’s a new cafe on Alki that has a bunch of bubble tea. Emily said they’d opened just for her and asked when it’s opening. Sunday. Emily said she bets it will be packed that day. Ambria doesn’t know. Emily asked if the menu is up. Yes. Emily asked what the flavors are. Ambria told her some of them. Ambria’s voice is echoing back to her making it hard for her to talk.
Emily said she was going to start exercising. She said it’s been a long time since she rode her bicycle. She has a bag for the dog to ride with her. Emily described all the stuff the dog would do. Ambria laughed and told her to let her know how it goes. Emily asked if she rides her bicycle. No. Emily asked if Ambria is on Emily’s level. Ambria didn’t answer. Emily said it’s too hot to walk, and she thought the bike might be better.
Ambria told her it will be in the 70s for the rest of the week. Emily said that will be nice. Emily asked when the picnic is with McKenzie. Ambria said she hasn’t set a date. Emily asked if she had the date with the baby that isn’t a baby anymore. Ambria said yes, and that they chased her around. She said the baby asked how old she is. Emily said she could have told it she is 27 and asked how old the baby is. It’s 4.
Emily got some bingsoo last week. She likes it. She said they have a place in Turkey Creek that makes it really sweet. The one she gets isn’t as sweet but has sweet bean paste. She likes them both.
Ambria asked how Reda is. Emily said she “guess(es) she’s doing OK.” She hasn’t talked to her in a while. She talked about the painting class. She thinks Hugh is going to see her soon… or maybe not. She’s not sure. She said “That’s about it.”
Emily asked if the dress fits her. Yes. Emily asked if she’s found a bathing suit yet. No.
Ambria told her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she would. Ambria said she wants to go. Emily said the next time they talk, she’ll be in the 11th grade and asked if that’s weird to Ambria. Kinda. Emily said she hopes her last day of classes are easy and that she would talk to her Saturday. They ended the call at June 16, 2021 3:53 PM.
