Emily answered but her voice was very muffled. She said she’s outside and it’s hot. She said it feels like 95. You could hear birds in the background.
Emily asked what she’s been doing. Working on stuff for school. Emily asked how many more weeks she has. Next Friday is her last day. Emily said she has 7 school days.
Emily noticed her hello kitty necklace and asked if she collects Hello Kitty “items.” Kind of. Emily asked if she has a lot. Ambria listed three things she has including the thing she got last weekend. Emily asked what that was. Ambria showed her the doll. Emily remembered it and asked if she wore it as a backpack. Yes. Emily asked if she liked that. Yes. Emily said she likes that it isn’t the traditional colors. Ambria told her someone said they liked it when she was out.
Emily said she was going to get something like a mega bubble boba tea. She ordered but they had just run out of boba. They told her they would have more in an hour. Emily told her she would come back but didn’t. Ambria told her she had a strawberry one on Saturday. Emily said she was going to get a coffee boba. Emily said she wants to get some tonight from a place called Daintea. She said there’s one here near the university and wanted to let Ambria know so she could try it. Ambria it old her there was a place downtown that had it. She looked for it downtown on Saturday, but it had closed. Ambria said it was sad. Emily said she likes Kung Fu Tea. She got taro from them. She got one from them that was too sweet. The Vietnamese coffee was too strong for her. Emily asked if she’s had it. No, but Ambria has heard of it.
A crow made a loud sound. Emily thinks it’s the one that knocks on her window. She has some magnolia trees in the yard. She said they smell good for a while and then die.
Emily mentioned again that it was hot. Ambria told her it’s in the 60s. Emily asked if she wanted to trade. They laughed.
Ambria told her they washed the windows yesterday by rappelling from the roof. Emily said that must be a weird job and asked if Ambria would like it. Ambria would be scared it would break.
Emily told Ambria Reda is taking a painting course. She’s also still doing her swallowing therapy. She still has trouble swallowing.
The crow called again. Emily said she’s going to send him to Ambria. Ambria told her we have them on the roof. Emily said they sometimes yell down the roof. Emily said they are weird. Emily said she has no seagulls and that is “one good thing.” Emily told her they do have cranes. She saw one “the other day.”
She said the road to her house floods when it rains. You can see geese swimming in it when it floods. Emily said Ambria could come swim with them if she wanted. Emily asked if she went swimming two years ago. She doesn’t remember.
Ambria told her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she will talk to her on Saturday. Emily asked if there’s anything fun coming up at school. No.
