Emily wished her good morning and asked how she is. Good. Emily asked about the weather. Ambria said it’s gray and cloudy but will be sunny later. Emily said it’s going to rain there.
Emily asked if she told Ambria she tried Dutch Brothers. Ambria asked what it is. It’s a drive-through coffee place. Emily asked if we have them. Ambria doesn’t know. Emily said it’s a big deal in Oregon and California. Emily went by and saw a long line. She tried again the next day and got in the line. It took about 20 minutes. She said they split the line in two and brought the drinks out. She said it’s expensive. They have a lot of milkshakes (not their word). Emily got iced coffee. She got the “golden eagle.” She recommended Ambria get it if she finds one.
Ambria told her we got sushi yesterday. Emily asked what kind. Ambria told her she had miso soup, spicy tuna roll, philly roll, and two others she can’t remember. Emily asked if the tuna was really spicy. No, it was good.
Emily got some Thai food “medium” heat and it was very hot. She said it was almost inedible. She said it was good except for the heat.
Ambria said she’s thinking of getting bubble tea today. Emily said she should. She got a taro one. She likes it more than she thought she would. Ambria thinks her place has that one too. She asked what it tastes like. Emily said it’s like sweet vanilla. She thinks it’s a vegetable.
Emily asked what flavor she’s getting. She might try taro or she might try mango. Emily asked what kind of boba she gets. The place closest only has one kind. She said they just have three flavors. Emily said they keep it simple. Ambria said it’s a restaurant so they do mostly other food. The other place that’s close has a lot of different flavors, but she’s not been able to try theirs yet. Emily said she should call next time. Emily said she thought Ambria told her it’s a small shop. Yes. Emily said they might not order often then.
Emily said Reda is “doing OK.” She can’t use a straw anymore. Emily said that’s due to the swallowing issues. She’s still doing therapy for it.
Ambria told her she got her shot last Saturday and will be fully vaccinated a week from today. Emily asked if she had trouble with the second one. No. Emily asked what she’s going to do. Probably nothing.
Emily asked what she did in school this week. They had a group test in history yesterday. Emily asked what that is. Ambria said it was more of an assignment. They worked as a group to try to find answers. Emily said that was good to have a quiz without a lot of work and stress.
Emily asked if she wrote back to the pen pal. No. Ambria doesn’t know what to say. Emily said she could tell about the shops and places in our city.
Emily told her the dog said hi and showed it to the camera. Emily said she gave the dog a bath recently and the dog is having problems with her skin. Emily listed all the things she has tried for it.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. The dog growled. Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily said she would talk to her on Wednesday. They ended the call May 22, 2021 9:10 AM.
