Emily did not answer Ambria’s first attempt. Ambria immediately retried, and the second attempt was answered.
Emily asked what Ambria is doing. Working on homework. Emily asked what homework. Science. Emily said that didn’t sound too bad.
Emily showed the new cat and said she wanted Ambria to see how big she’s gotten.
Emily asked what the weather is like. Ambria said it’s in the high 50s and sunny. Emily said that’s “not too bad.” Emily said it rained yesterday.
Ambria told her she went to school to get a new math packet. Emily said she gets one every week. Ambria said not quite. Emily asked what is in it. Ambria hasn’t looked yet.
Emily asked how the French book is. Good. Emily asked if she finished it. Not yet. Emily asked how long it is. Ambria said it’s not too long, but it “has a few chapters and they only read a few pages every day.” Emily asked if they have to read it and tell about what they read.
Emily asked if she got to wear her clothes yet. Ambria wore them when she got them. Emily asked if they fit. Yes.
Emily told Ambria to hold on for her to pick up the dog.
Ambria told her she got a letter from her pen pal. Emily asked what it says. Ambria can’t tell if it’s a girl or a boy. She told her the name. Emily asked what grade they are in. Ambria doesn’t know, but they’re 16 so probably the same as her. Emily asked how their English is. Ambria only noticed a couple of things. Emily asked if she’s supposed to write back to them. Ambria said it won’t be an assignment but that they should write back if they have a pen pal. Emily is glad Ambria got one. Emily asked what the letter was about and if it was “their favorite stuff.” They said their favorite color is black. Ambria told them hers is red.
Emily asked if she has gone outside. Ambria went outside today to go to school. She planted some plants on the roof. Emily asked what. Baby tomatoes. Emily she hasn’t gotten baby tomatoes yet. Emily said it’s not going well with her herbs.
Emily showed the cat some more. Emily said her face is a little like grumpy cat but said she isn’t grumpy. She said she’s happy.
Ambria asked how Reda is. They’re still doing therapy on her jaw. Emily thought they would have canceled but is glad they haven’t. They do the electronic stimulation. She doesn’t think it hurts.
Emily asked if she still likes her bangs. Yes. Emily asked if she will make adjustments. No.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she would.
Ambria said she wants to go. Emily said she would talk to her on Saturday and wished her luck on any tests. They ended the call at May 19, 2021 3:24 PM.
