They wished each other good morning. Emily asked what she’s doing. She just took out the trash and recycling. Emily asked if she had a lot to take. Ambria told her it wasn’t a lot. There was a prominent echo on Emily’s side.
Emily said it rained most of the night last night. Ambria told her it’s drizzling right now. Emily asked if it will stop. Ambria doesn’t know but said it’s cloudy. Emily said that would ruin any plans she had. The only plan Ambria had is getting her first shot today. Emily said she thought it was in May. Ambria didn’t have one scheduled. Emily said she told her that’s when she would be eligible. Ambria may have said that a long time ago. Emily remembers being dragged out of the car by her mom and grandmother when she needed a shot. Ambria giggled.
Emily said she woke up with a headache and isn’t doing much. Ambria said that isn’t good. Emily said it is a “medium” headache. Ambria woke up with one recently but it went away. Ambria said that’s unusual for her. Emily is glad she doesn’t have them. Emily said she’s drinking a lot of water in case she’s dehydrated.
Emily asked about school. Ambria is reading her book for French. Emily asked if it’s about a car. That’s not the one. She’s reading the choice book. Emily asked about the pen pals. Ambria doesn’t know what happened with it. Emily was excited to hear about it. Ambria had almost forgotten. Emily asked if they mailed the letters before remembering it was email. Ambria said maybe they’re doing it next year.
Emily asked if she still likes her hair. Yes. Emily asked if she’s washed it. Yes. Emily asked what she does with the bangs or layer. When it’s wet, she makes sure it’s straight. When she puts it up, she makes sure the short part is left out. Emily asked about the pieces. They don’t fit in the ponytail. Emily asked if it gives her a headache to have her hair in a ponytail. If it’s long enough and tight enough, yes. Emily asked if she still does the pineapple thing. Not in a long time.
Ambria was looking for bubble tea places. Emily asked if she found any. There are two close, and she found another that she thought was close but maybe isn’t. Emily asked if she was looking on Google for directions. Emily said in Google you have to click “Choose locations” after you enter your stuff. Ambria is using Apple Maps. It said 0.8 miles, but she’s afraid it’s further and with a big hill. Emily asked if there are any closer. There’s one 0.5 miles and one that’s closer – about two blocks. Emily asked what flavor she’s getting. Ambria wants to try the one a half mile away but doesn’t know which flavors. Emily asked if they just serve bubble tea. It’s a Vietnamese sandwich shop. Emily likes strawberry, coffee is strong, caramel “might be OK.” Emily wants to go to a place 15 minutes from her apartment that has a good strawberry. Emily got crème brulee one time and said it was OK. Sometimes she likes tapioca. Ambria said she will let her know what she gets.
Ambria asked her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she hopes she finds a bubble tea shop that’s good with no huge hills. Emily said Reda is “doing OK.” She’s still using the cane. She doesn’t know what it’s called. She’s “doing good” with that. They’re working on her swallowing. They’re working on her jaw muscle.
Ambria said she wants to go. Emily said she will talk to her Wednesday. They ended the call at April 24, 2021 9:09 AM.
