Ambria called Emily on Skype. Skype said she is offline. Ambria tried again immediately. Skype again said she is offline.
Ambria tried again at March 27, 2021 9:00 AM. Skype again did not ring through and said Emily is offline.
Ambria called again via phone. She did not answer, and Ambria left a voicemail at March 27, 2021 9:02 AM.
March 27, 2021 9:06 AM- Emily sent a message on Skype saying “Hey Ambria. I didn’t realize I was signed out of Skype.”
Ambria called her again on Skype at March 27, 2021 9:07 AM. This time it rang. Emily answered. She had no video and her voice was very echoey. She said she thought it was strange that Ambria hadn’t called and checked Skype to find she was signed out.
She complimented Ambria’s nails which are painted pink. Emily said she had gingerbread coffee today. It’s “just OK.”
The kitten is healed after being fixed. She said they sometimes tattoo a mark on their stomachs to mark they’ve already been fixed. They gave her a green line, and it peeled off her. Emily said now they won’t know. The cat just finished her breakfast. She’s still wearing her onesie as a shirt, not buttoned up. Emily showed the cat to the camera. Emily asked if Ambria could hear her purring. No. Emily showed the onesie. Emily said she needs to wash the cat’s face.
Emily asked what she’s been doing this week. Ambria said she started a new unit in Science. Emily asked if they had a test over fire and ethanol. She asked what they’re learning now. Ambria told her it’s something about the way babies move. Emily said, “a lot.” Emily said, “That’s different,” and told Ambria she moved a lot.
Ambria told her they did a lot of group work on Friday. Emily asked if she had a good group. Her history had two people working and two not. In Language Arts, all 6 were working. Emily asked if they did research or what. Ambria said they were smaller things. In history, they had to read, answer questions, and write a paragraph. Emily said that didn’t sound too difficult.
Emily asked what she’s reading in language arts. The Sound of Waves. Emily said it sounds interesting and asked if it is. Yes, and Ambria likes it more than their previous book.
Emily asked if she’s watched more of the show. Ambria finished it. Emily said she needs to catch up.
Emily said the cat was yelling into the closet. You could hear the cat into the background.
Emily said a lot of them are fully vaccinated. Ambria asked who. The people Reda is around. Reda had both of hers. Emily is hoping she won’t contract it again. Ambria said she thought she saw that here we would all be eligible by May. Emily said, “Oh, really?” Emily asked if she’s going to get one. Yes. Emily said, “That’s probably right.” Ambria thinks schools will be open “if you want to go” in April. Emily asked if she will go. Ambria doesn’t think so. Emily said that “sounds OK.” Emily asked which shot they offer. For her age, it’s Pfizer. Emily knows people who have gotten both and haven’t had reactions. Emily said people “in the family got the vaccine” and haven’t had reactions.
Emily asked if she heard about her friend. Yes, she died. Emily said she hates to hear that and had hoped it wasn’t the case. Emily told her she’s sorry to hear that. Ambria told her we don’t know the cause of death. Emily asked which friend it was. Ambria told her it was Leah. Emily asked if she has someone she can talk to about her feelings. Ambria does but doesn’t have anything to say. Emily never had a friend pass away. Her grandmother died when she was 17, and that was hard for her. She said it was not the same but “kinda similar.” It was “hard or very difficult.” Emily asked if she would be able to get some more information. Ambria thinks she could find out if she talked to her parents they would tell her, but she doesn’t really do that. Emily asked when she last spoke to her. Right after we moved into the other apartment, she saw her at Safeway. Emily said, “So, the last memory was a good one, then?” Yes. Emily said, “It’s always good to have good happy memories to think about.” Emily said Ambria could talk to her.
Ambria told her to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she would talk on Wednesday. They ended the call at March 27, 2021 9:20 AM.
