Emily said “good morning.” Ambria reciprocated. She asked what Ambria is doing. Ambria didn’t get to answer before Emily asked if she was doing, “Nothing much?”

Her kitten had surgery. She showed it to the camera. She said the cat is doing well, like she never had surgery. Ambria said that’s good. She’s wearing a onesie. Ambria said it was funny.

Ambria told her she did some more drawings. She flipped the camera and showed her a picture of Ururaka she colored in. Emily asked who it was, and Ambria told her. Ambria showed her the “info sheet” she made with four characters on it. She told Emily it’s harder to draw them small. Emily asked where she got the information. Ambria wrote it based on what she knew about them.

Ambria showed her the new pictures she printed to draw later. These are more elaborate scenes. Ambria showed her progress on the first one. Emily likes the one of honey holding the bunny. Ambria pointed out one she thinks will be difficult. Emily said it looks like she’s been busy.

Emily asked what else she’s done. Ambria thought about it. Emily interrupted to ask, “Nothing much?” Ambria agreed. Emily asked if school has been good. Yes.

Ambria told her she finished a new show recently. Emily asked what. Ambria told her Ouran High School Host Club. Ambria said it was weird. Emily asked if she needs to be prepared if she checks it out. Ambria told her parts of it were uncomfortable. Emily said she might read about it first. Ambria is glad she watched it and liked it a lot.

Emily said the first night the kitten came home, she was “so out of it.” She said she looks angry but isn’t. Emily told the cat to say, “Hi.” She’s doing “real good.” She’s supposed to keep her “not as hyped up for two weeks.” She jumps away when Emily is trying to put on the onesie. She said it’s like having a baby without a diaper on. She said it’s “something else.” The cat spent an hour trying to take a cone off. Emily didn’t want to keep her in that. They tested her for feline leukemia, and she doesn’t have it. They asked if Emily wanted to euthanize her if she has it. Emily had to sign that she didn’t want that. If she did have it, it would “be OK.” She said she’d never been asked that before.

Ambria told her about the documentary we watched about cats in Japan. Emily asked if it was sad. No, they showed some of the famous cats and went to cat islands. They talked about cat culture. Emily asked if she saw a lot of siamese. No.

Every time the kitten puts on a new onesie, the old cat gets angry because she “doesn’t know her.” Emily said her weekend is going to be spent “monitoring this kitten.” She said it will be time consuming. She has to give her medicine and make sure she isn’t moving around much.

Ambria said to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she would. She asked if it’s going to be hot here. Ambria doesn’t know but it’s cloudy. Emily said it’s about 65. She told Ambria about grapples (some kind of bird?). She said it’s not “a place for you” if you’re afraid of bird. She showed her the cat again.

Emily said she would tell Reda that. Ambria said she should go. Emily said she and the cat would talk to her on Wednesday. They ended the call at March 20, 2021 9:10 AM.
