Emily asked how she is. She’s good. Emily asked if she’s done something. She showed her what she’s trying: iced chai tea latte. She has whole milk in hers. She said it was refreshing and thanked Ambria for the recommendation. She gives it five stars.
Ambria asked if she got her card. Emily was frozen on the screen. A few seconds later, Emily asked if that’s what she said. Yes. Emily said it arrived Thursday or yesterday.
Emily asked about the math test. Ambria wasn’t sure about some of them but she thinks she figured them out. Emily asked if the teacher was male or female. Female.
Emily said she asked for light ice in her drink, but she doesn’t think she got that. Emily asked if it’s raining here. Ambria doesn’t think so. Emily said it’s about 50 there. She said it’s not bad.
Ambria picked up her cereal. Emily said she thought it was a big cup. They giggled about that.
Emily asked if there’s anything else she can think of to put on her Christmas list. No, but she likes surprised. Emily said OK.
Ambria said her French class surprised her French teacher with a “Thank you,” on Thursday. Emily said that was sweet and asked how the teacher reacted. She cried. Emily asked how many people are in the class. 35. Emily asked if that’s because there are a lot of sophomores. Ambria said since it’s virtual, they can have more in a class. Emily I asked if they have double the students. Ambria thinks its just because there’s a lot of demand for French and only one teacher.
Emily asked if she showed her food to the others. Yes. Emily asked what the others made. Ambria said there were some baguettes. Emily asked if theirs were a foot and a half long. No, they were flat. Crepes and macaroons. Emily asked if she just had to show a few people. Ambria said they went in order by last name. If they had something to show, they showed. Otherwise they just told about it. Emily said it didn’t work that way. They laughed about that. Emily asked how many people are before her in alphabetical order. One. Emily said she likes having a few people before her, but Ambria just gets one.
Ambria searched for something to say. Emily asked if she’s going to stay in and if it will be cold and rainy. Ambria heard there is supposed to be snow but doesn’t think there will. Emily said NY has a lot of snow.
Ambria said she might make some food. Emily asked if she’s making a Christmas meal. We ordered one, so Ambria might make pretzels. Emily asked if she’s rolling them out and baking them. Yes. Emily said she likes them with mustard.
Emily commented on the bird making noise in the background. She is outside right now.
Ambria told her some neighbors left presents at our door. Emily asked what. Ambria said one left 3 chocolate bars and 3 oranges, and one left one of those blue tins of cookies. Emily said they put sewing supplies in those. Ambria said she had crayons in one.
Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily asked if she’s out of school. Yes. Emily said she won’t wish her a good week at school then. She said have a good week relaxing and making pretzels. She said she will talk to her on Wednesday. They ended the call at December 19, 2020 9:10 AM.
