Ambria told her she made baguettes for French class. Emily asked how it went. Ambria described how she made them. Emily asked if she has to share it. Ambria said they share tomorrow. Emily asked how they share. Ambria told her about the potluck they usually have. This year, they’re just going to show it in their class meeting. Emily said, “That’s not quite fair, is it?” Emily asked what the others made. Ambria said they’re making crepes and croissants. They can make the same thing since they’re not doing the potluck. Emily asked if she’ll make an A. Ambria thinks so. Emily asked how many she made. 2. Emily asked how long they are. A foot? Ambria said more like 1.5 feet. Emily said, “That’s a long one!”
Ambria said they have their second unit test in Math on Friday. Emily said she assumes that’s over a bunch of stuff. Ambria said everything in the last month. Emily asked how she studied. They had a review. Ambria said she thinks she understands everything that will be on it and that she will do good. Emily said she thinks so too. Emily asked if they can use a calculator. Ambria thinks so.
Emily said it sounds like she’s had a busy week. Emily asked if she’s played Minecraft. No, but she has worked on her woodworking projects. Emily asked if she’s working on the planter. She got as far as she could on it, so she’s been working on another one made of cans and cardboard. Emily asked if the planter is gone and the planter is in. Emily asked if it’s cold. Ambria said it’s been raining but not any colder. Emily said it’s in the 40s there but not raining. Emily asked if she’s seen an armadillo. No. Emily said there’s one that stays around the bank near their apartment. She said it got scared and ran away. Ambria asked if they curl up. Yes, but not this kind. Emily said she’s seen two. They just run, and not very fast. Emily said she saw a coyote walking around her neighborhood.
Ambria told her they watched an assembly in advisory. She told her about the winter wishes and the one for the dog sweater. Emily said, “Dogs get cold too.” Emily asked if she made a wish. Ambria said they’ve already done it, and she can’t remember what hers was. They usually only grant the most creative ones. Emily asked if it was a big or small dog. Big. Emily asked if it was a St. Bernard or a pony. Ambria said it was cute. Ambria said they got to see it in the sweater. Emily asked what kind it was. Ambria doesn’t know.
Emily said she hasn’t sent her cards yet. Ambria asked if she’s gotten hers. No. Emily asked who all she sent them to. Ambria said a lot of people. Maybe 20. Emily said that’s a lot.
Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily said she will talk to her Saturday after her math test and her feast. They ended the call at December 16, 2020 3:24 PM.
