Emily said she has her hair down. Yes. Emily asked if she’s being Rapunzel. Ambria chuckled.
Emily asked how school was. It was good. Ambria is working on her math homework. She said she had to pick up some items at the school for woodworking. Emily asked what she got. Goggles, measuring tape, hammer, chisel, and a metal cutter. Emily said she guesses they gave everyone the same thing. Ambria said she doesn’t know why they gave her stuff she already had, but she thinks she got the metal cutter because she’s going to be working with cans.
Emily asked what she’s doing in math. Transformations for functions. Emily said she has no idea what that is.
Emily asked if there’s anything she wants for her birthday for before or after quarantine. Ambria said she has a shirt she’s going to send and will look for some other things. Ambria asked if she still has the link for her Amazon gift wish list. Emily said she didn’t see it, but she will try to find it. She said to add more things to it. Emily asked if she would want something bigger like a bike or scooter. Emily said she knew Ambria said she didn’t have a bike. Ambria told her she got rid of the bike she had. Emily said if she thinks of something, even if it’s a large item or several, to let her know. Emily said the film for her camera doesn’t seem like “a very fun thing to get.” Ambria said she will think, but she doesn’t really know what she wants.
Ambria said she got a letter from Leslie, Hunter, and Braden. Emily asked if they are staying inside. Ambria accidentally turned off her camera, and they joked about that. Emily asked what they said in their letter. Ambria said they have to go to school which is no good but they’re still OK. She said they’re getting ready for Halloween.
Emily asked if Ambria is going anywhere for Halloween. No, but she’s going to dress up each day for a week. Emily asked if we will give out candy. Ambria doesn’t know how it works in this apartment. One of her teachers is putting out a bowl of candy. Emily said maybe she can do something. She asked what Ambria would be if she could go out. Ambria made a list of ideas last year but forgot them all. Emily asked if she’s too cool to go out. No, Ambria would if she could.
Ambria told Emily she made a card for Reda but doesn’t know how to get it to her. Emily asked if she has Brenda’s address. Yes. Emily said she thinks Brenda left a card for Reda to sign but it might not get to Ambria because they lost it. Emily said if she doesn’t get the card, it’s not because Reda doesn’t think about her. Emily thinks she loses items. She saw Reda with the last two cards Ambria sent, but she doesn’t know where they went. Emily said she wanted Ambria to not be too upset if she doesn’t get something from her. Emily said again to mail it to Brenda.
Ambria said she wanted to go. Emily said her birthday is in one week. She said she will talk to her on Saturday. She said to let her know if Ambria thinks of any gifts. They ended the call October 21, 2020 3:24 PM.
