Emily said “This thing made a noise and scared me.” She said Ambria’s hair looks good “and smooth.” Ambria said she washed it yesterday.
Emily asked how the “smart start” was going. Ambria told her it was “strong start.” She said it’s going well. Most classes assigned something to do during their offline time. Emily said it’s like free time. Ambria told her it’s when they do assignments. Emily asked if they have it in-person. No, they would just go to their classes.
Emily tried some “world’s best macaroni and cheese.” Emily said it was based in Seattle and asked if she has heard of it. Emily said it was “Beecher’s.” Ambria said she knows it. She said they’re in Pike Place Market. Emily said she was going to say that but wasn’t sure if it was right. Ambria told her you can watch them make the cheese. Emily asked if she’s been in. No, but she’s been by a few times.
Ambria said she just finished playing Animal Crossing. Emily said she didn’t remember if Ambria has class late on Wednesday or gets out early. Ambria said they were on regular schedule today, but she got done early. On a regular Wednesday, she will get out early.
Emily asked what she did in Animal Crossing. She’s been decorating the island and paying off her loan. Emily said she stopped playing a few months ago and hasn’t been able to get back into it.
Emily asked about woodworking. Ambria said it’s good. She said they’re going to design things first before trying to build anything. He asked if they have any tools. Ambria said she has some scissors. She thinks he meant actual tools. Emily asked what tools she has. Ambria said a hammer, screwdriver, and other things like that. Emily said it “sounds interesting.” She asked if Ambria knows her first project. They haven’t been talking about that much since the classes are short right now.
Emily asked if they did a Kahoot. Yes, they did that today. Emily asked if they had to go around and answer questions about themselves. The Kahoot was to see how much they know about the teacher. Emily said she should take notes in case there’s another quiz or a bonus on a test.
Ambria told her she finished the Starbucks card. Emily asked what she got. Ambria told her it was a… she forgot. Emily said she’s sure it was good. Ambria said yes. Emily said she’ll send another. She asked if it worked OK. Yes.
Ambria said she got a letter from Benny and Lolly. Emily asked what they said. She said Annie has only one class she has to go to at the college. Emily said she doesn’t know much about her except maybe she works at a vet. This reminded Ambria of that part of the letter. Ambria told her Anthony works at Food City. Emily thinks they are staying in most of the time. Ambria said that’s what they told her.
Ambria told Emily to tell Reda she said hi if she goes to see her. Emily said there are “a few” people who tested positive at the home. They’re going to ramp up more precautions. They said they’re following guidelines and testing everyone. Emily said she guesses that’s all they can do.
Emily said she hopes she has a good two days of school. Emily said she would “see about those Starbucks cards for ya.”
Emily asked if she’s done more skateboarding. No, she’s just been going to school and playing games. Emily asked if she’s talked to McKenzie. No. Emily said they could play Minecraft. She asked if they’ve gotten the server working. No. Ambria said she should go. They ended the call at September 9, 2020 3:26 PM.
