They wished each other good morning. Emily asked what she’s doing. About to have breakfast. Emily asked what. Blueberry cheerios. Emily said she saw them at the store and thought of Ambria.

Ambria told her she opened her package. Emily asked what she thought. Ambria said she liked the wooden postcard. Emily said she thought that was neat and hadn’t seen a wooden one.

Ambria told her Nana sent her a shower curtain and duvet cover. She said Nana also sent her a stand for her necklaces and the picture hanger. Emily said now she can revamp her room and bathroom. Emily asked if it has arrived. It came yesterday. Emily said she knows that’s exciting for Ambria. Yes.

Emily got a new job and will be moving. Ambria asked to where. Dallas, Texas. Ambria asked about Reda. Emily said they have another COVID case and are locked down. They said it might be months before you can see a patient. Emily said they would have enjoyed their time, but Reda understands this is a good opportunity for her. The lady at the rehab facility who corresponds with Emily said things are going well. She’s going to try to find a way to keep in touch with Reda. She said Hugh used to visit a lot. Emily thinks she can talk to her using something like FaceTime. Emily doesn’t think she could use anything else very well. Emily said it wasn’t an easy decision for her to make. She said she’ll still be able to check up on Reda and will keep Ambria posted. The employee who was positive can’t come back for 14 days. Emily thinks it’s their 3rd case.

Emily asked if she told Ambria about the resident. Ambria said no. Emily said they had a resident take a test that came back positive. A later retest came back negative. She thinks they need one or two negative tests to be cleared. As far as she knows, there aren’t any COVID cases outside the staff.

They were both quiet for a while.

Ambria said she talked to McKenzie yesterday. Emily asked how it went. Ambria said it was good and she thinks McKenzie was coming back from seeing her grandparents. Emily asked if they live in another state. Ambria thinks they live about 2 hours south. Emily said that isn’t bad. Emily asked if she’s doing school online. Ambria thinks they’re doing some online and some in-person. Ambria told her that her school and the other schools in Seattle are doing fully online. Emily asked if that’s the entire year. Ambria said they have some strict requirements about coming back, so it will probably be all year. Emily said she’s glad Ambria isn’t having to go in-person. Emily said there’s “been a lot of debate, in Tennessee at least.” Emily feels sorry for the parents who have to send children to school because they work but they don’t want to. Emily feels fortunate that Ambria’s parents don’t have to send her to school. Emily hopes everything will work out for her this year.

Emily said her voice is going out because she’s drinking hot coffee. She said she’s using a bunch of the plastic cups that come in the sleeves because the company leaves them outside peoples doors at the apartment and she wanted to use them up.

Ambria said she wants to go. Emily said OK and she will talk to her on Wednesday. Ambria said she’ll talk then. They ended the call at August 15, 2020 9:08 AM.
