We had some trouble getting Skype to start the call, so we started a minute later than normal.
Skype said Emily was unavailable.
Ambria tried again at August 12, 2020 3:16 PM. Emily answered this attempt.
Emily said Ambria’s shirt is brightly colored and commented that Ambria is eating popcorn again.
Emily asked what Ambria has been doing. Ambria just finished playing Animal Crossing. Emily asked how it’s going. Ambria told her she’s making a zen garden.
Ambria told Emily she got her package but hasn’t opened it. She said she got a letter from Edie too but hasn’t opened it. She thinks the other one may have gotten lost.
Ambria said it was kind of cold and cloudy yesterday but it’s sunny again today. Emily asked if she’s been out skateboarding again. Ambria said she’s planning to go before dinner.
Emily asked if she’s tried any more recipes. No. Emily asked what is her favorite thing to bake. Brownies. Emily said she likes them and it was her favorite dessert as a kid. Ambria said she doesn’t like them with nuts. Emily said she agrees but still eats them that way. Emily said she used to like Sue’s brownies. Ambria said she just picked out the nuts from Sue’s. Emily thinks they also had caramel but she’s not sure since it’s been a long time.
Emily asked if Ambria has talked to McKenzie. Ambria hasn’t called her today but she will while she plays Minecraft. Emily asked if she plays too. Yes, but they don’t play it together because she can only do that at her dad’s house. Emily asked if they can see each other when they talk. Yes. Emily asked what she does. Ambria said she laughs when Ambra gets mad about things.
Ambria said something sad happened yesterday and told her about the desert temple she found. She went in and found a bunch of chests. She stepped on a pressure plate and was exploded. Emily said that was weird. Ambria agreed. Emily bets she got really mad/sad then. Yes. Emily asked what McKenzie said. Ambria said she wasn’t talking to her but she would have been laughing. Emily asked if she laughs at McKenzie for stuff like that too. Yes. Ambria talked about a time McKenzie tripped that was funny to her. Ambria said McKenzie brings up when Ambria tripped up the stairs. Emily said Ambria enjoys laughing when people fall. She recounted a time Ambria had laughed at her trying to do a cartwheel. Ambria laughed again about it.
Emily asked about the circumstances of falling up the stairs. Ambria described it. Emily said she’s “something else.”
They paused for a while. Emily recalled the current date. After a while longer, Emily asked about her classes. Ambria is doing some video courses. Emily asked if she had made any videos. She’s working on one right now. Emily asked the subject. Ambria said it’s a documentary. Emily asked about what. Ambria said it is about her dad. Emily asked what makes a good phone video. Ambria shared a couple of tips she had learned. Emily asked if the video is for a part of the course. Ambria said she’s doing it on her own.
Ambria asked Emily to tell Reda hi and she loves her. Emily said she will.
Ambria said she wants to go. They ended the call at August 12, 2020 3:26 PM.
