Emily asked if she’s having more popcorn. Yes.
Ambria said she’s listened to the Taylor Swift album. She asked if it’s not all on Spotify. Emily said it should be. Ambria told her that it played a few songs and started playing suggested songs. Emily doesn’t know the problem. Emily asked which she liked of the ones she’s heard. Ambria said The One. Emily asked if she likes Cardigan. Yes, but she only heard the preview. Ambria said she liked The Last American Dynasty. Emily said she liked it too. Emily said the one everybody likes is the one where she sings with Bon Iver. Emily said she wrote the whole album while in quarantine. Emily said it was more mellow. Ambria agreed.
Emily said they did another COVID test on Reda because an employee and resident both tested positive. Emily said everyone else came back negative. Emily said they’re on lockdown again. She’s going to go see her tomorrow through the door. Emily asked Ambria what she thinks about talking through the door. She asked if Ambria could read her lips. Emily said she had learned to over the years. Ambria said she didn’t know they were talking through the door.
Emily said she sits on the ground outside talk to Reda through the door. Then she said she thinks it will be a while before she gets to see her face to face. She guesses at least 2-3 months.
Ambria asked if Emily remembers that Ambria had started knitting a scarf for Reda. Emily does. Ambria has started working on it again and thinks she will finish this summer.
Emily asked how everything else is going. Ambria said it’s good. She’s been playing Minecraft today. Emily asked what she’s doing in it. Ambria told her about Skyblock. Emily said it sounds neat.
Emily said she was going to show the cat sleeping in her desk chair. She took the camera over there.
Emily said a skink got in the house. The last time one got in, the cat ate it and got very sick. They haven’t found the other one yet. Emily has tried to catch it but isn’t fast enough. She said they live in the mulch outside. Ambria asked if those are the ones that lived under Edie’s house. Emily asked Ambria if she had seen them under the white planters outside Reda’s house.
Ambria told her to wave at Reda when she goes to see her.
Ambria said she wants to go. Emily said next time Reda will wave with both arms. She said they’ve put her back on therapy too. They ended the call at August 5, 2020 3:24 PM.
